I'm always up for fixing car, if any one needs any help round Leeds when I've finished Uni for the summer.
Ferrybridge is Ok but come on guys, how often do we have these meets? Surely we can do better than a windy car park? I pass ferrybridge often enough on the Mway, dosn't mean I want to stop there
There are loads of interesting placces right on the A1 where we could meet, I'll look in to it. Surely a nice view of the countryside or meeting in front of a country house is better than a car park nex to a noisy motorway.
Thats my two penny's worth. But seeing as I missed the last northern meet I can't complain.

Not bad mate snowed under with uni work, tis the price I pay to be a student
I'll look in to a better venue Daz, I think if we can find a nice place (with hot choccy obviously) people will be more willing to come a bit further or come at all, and we are more likley to make it a regular thing.

You won't believe how easily those skirts went on Daz. I'm so happy I din't try putting the MTech 1 ones on with screws n stuff. They look pukka, will look even better when the undercoat has been touched up.
Looks red cos it's sunny and parked next to a rediculously shiney red car!!

How do I make them come up as thumbnails??? so I'm not wasting everyones time and space. You can see why I need mud flaps in the bottom pic, cleaned it then when to get some milk, b*ll*cks.

Cheers mate.
I recon you should just keep your body work totally original and sort out the dent at the front. I just wanted to cover up where some tit had welded on half the titanic and the rust had come through again etc. Yours isn't rusty and I think in that colour they look sweet just really clean and well polished, as you know i'm not a great fan of full bodykits. You do need the rear head rests too. Have you put a wanted post up.
We could try meeting at someones house? any one got a big pad in the country??? I can bring a Birko boiler and hot choccy.
OR
Some where in the countryside, I bring the Birko and some one brings a genny (not sure my inverter could cope), hot choccy on me!! (for a small fee, and all profits to the zone?? I'm willing to do it)

Looks nicer than a service station??

hold on didnt you say you lived on a farm???
cant you build as a purpose built posing paddock??lol
but seriously i have had a thort dnt know if its poss yet but maybe??
i used to work in tockwith wetherby right next door to a rally training school its on an old airfield far from the best but nevr seemed to be open much at weekends?? could be worth asking if theres any chance of using the place?? im up there next week so will see what they say will prob be no so dnt get too excited but its worth a try have a mate in the fire crew at elvington as well but they dnt let you use the place unless you pay plus firecrew has to be there if you use elvington such a shame as theyve had tvr days with cars hitting 200mph so its a nice track Damn any one know any one with clout at elvington???? Daz

Yeah but the best you will get on our farm is a muddy field with a couple of cows

And i have seen the damage they can do to a car
I had thought about Tockwith air field/ cart track, sound them out mate. It's easy from the A1.
My flat mate once landed his glider on the straight at Elvington just in time to see an F1 car dissappear in to a container!! It was the 2005 Maclaren F1 trying to keep away from the press, this was last sept.
Both could be quite pricey. I'll keep looking at it though.

How about meeting at one of the pubs on Snake Pass? There's a nice one one the Derwent resevoir, you won't get much better locations for nice views etc, and it's convenient for us Yorkshire folk as well as those from the North West.

Where is that I'm not familiar with Snake pass, heard of it though.
A nice country pub would be good

in moderation

Snake pass wouldn't be TOO far for me, bit of a treck though. No problems if there's a few of us going and it's worthwhile!

The Snake runs between Sheffield and Glossop (over towards Manchester). It's a great drive as well, would make the journey as well as the meet interesting.
Geeman.....how's the carpet?
Posted: Thu Apr 21, 2005 2:40 pm
by Geeman
Carpet still hanging in the garage waiting for me to find some spare time to take the old one out and install it. Time is NEVER on my side... got al load of jobs to do at the same time while everything's out... re-install all the monster Ice that's been fitted by monkeys and fit the OBC system I've had sitting aaroudn for ages...
Lots to do...
Bring on the summer with the long nights!

Hi Gents, the snake pass is a brilliant road as long as the old gits in their micra's get out of the way

. It's my favourite sunday blast road.
Definately up for a meet there
BTW Dan, getting tyres fitted to those 15"bbs this weekend at long last. Can't wait
Cheers,

You would have to pay just to get in to the car park at Harewood house, but I like your thinking though cos it's only 3 miles from me
I'm thinking on the country house thing, heard of Rudding Park?

Bolton Abbey could be a possibility but I think you'd have to pay to park. If you're going as far as the Snake Pass there are plenty of other great roads not too much further. Cat and Fiddle, A54 etc
Another option could be say Donington or Croft when there's some racing on. Would be about a tenner to get in though.
