Dont panic! dont panic!

Yes chris it was the one advertised for sale.

The story goes...

Someone knocked on his door today while he was out. Gave his sister a £300 deposit and asked for a test drive. She handed over the keys and let them go... on their own

He reported it stolen.

He just called to say the police have found it.

200 yards up the road from his house, parked behind some garages, with some chaps taking the seats out.

The (obviously very very stupid) men have been arrested and he is on his way to go and pick it up now.

At a guess... seeing as he has someone coming this weekend to buy it, he's £300 up and just has to put the seat back in.

Plymouth's great, retarded criminals and that rarest of things, police that actually follow up on reported crimes!

Great news. About time someone had some luck.

Too many of these lightfingered w*nkers about that need a bl**dy good kicking.

If Doddy ever gets the names and addresses of these scum, we should go pay them a visit... :hammer:

 chris, yup, though one can only assume they would have stripped it for the engine etc too.

Eko - yeah no question of that. probably would have removed the engine scrapyard style (cut everything in sight and lift it out with whatever's at hand) then torched it.

They must have wanted the engine too... an interior isnt worth the 300 deposit on its own,,, even with a few body panels it wouldnt have totalled 300.... the real value is the engine... but to take a car 200yds away to steal and strip.... the mind boggles

yeah they must have been.

He had a for sale sign in the window but they hadnt called up or come from ebay... just walked by and knocked on the door. I doubt he'll let it lie with just the police dealing with them... winkeye

Where will he stand on the 300? It was a deposit... surely as they didnt bring the car back, the police did... its non refundable?

Only problem with that is Plod, they may insist it's returned as they're involved. He could claim it's compensation for having to bolt his seats back in though. I'd keep it if it was me. Serve the c*nts right.

Ex-con..... Well I don't have to declare any criminal convictions when I apply for jobs. (politicians answer winkeye )

Gortour's on the money... as plod are involved it may prove tricky to keep it. Doubt it though, as you say... 'what deposit?'

Though he may have told them about it when he reported it nicked. Will have to wait and see.

Makes you wonder if the thieving scum b'stards were watching the house to go in when Doddy was out...
Probably thought the sister may be an easier touch... Unfortunately they were right...

Glad you got it back Doddy, shame the money was fake... Gutted for you, and us... Could have been beers on you at Newquay... :D

So the money was fake. Are cops aware of the fake money?

Add fraud to their charges, obtaining goods by deception...

Who's up for a 'zone meet' in Plymouth?

Fraud is a serious charge unlike car theft :x

But in this case they could be getting some time. Excellent.

wont do them much good either if its fake. good news is, if they are let off for whatever reason, doddy can just set munkys car on them, they'll never offend again.

especially with a courtesy boot to the face or two :D
