You will have a pre-face lift car, ebay or zone for sale section, for the best looking option look for a complete tech 1 kit with bumpers. Also worth noting that the later tech 2 kits can be made to fit but they require modification, look here for more info http://www.r3vlimited.net/Tech/bumper1.htm

you can make your ugly american style bumpers look better by drilling a hole in the oil shock absorbers the bumpers are mounted on and driving slowly into a wall, this allows all the oil to leak out of the bumper shock absorber and as there is no oil in there the bumper will not push back out and remain in the ''in'' position. same applies front and rear again look here.. http://www.r3vlimited.net/Tech/tuck.htm

good luck and welcome to the zone!!

I hate to pick you up on your knowledge of modern history but West Germany ceased to exist number of years ago, shortly after some wall or other fell down....

As a cheap alternative, I'm sure you can bolt later plastic bumpers onto a chromer. Well, I've seen it done. Get them painted to match the car and it'll look okay.
