Dealer?
I hear they pop off quite easily.
New badge, new clips pop back on.
Think there's a couple zoners who know of a good trick to get the roundel off safely.

Really not expensive at the dealers, Think they are around £10.
Held in by two pegs on the back of the badge which push into rubber grommets in the bonnet, I put a couple of blobs of dum dum on the back to make sure it sits nicely and doesn't rub the paint below.

I used a screwdriver to lever mine out from the top. It snapped in half.

course, you can always open the bonnet and push the pins out from under the bonnet, thus avoiding any damage to exterior surfaces

cheap badges ime are always plastic and the finish doesnt last 2 minutes..neighbour just paid £14.35 for genuine badge from dealer in Dundee

On my bonnet where the badge sits it has four holes for the badge pins but have yet to find a badge with four pins

all my E30's i ever owned including here and in uk allow the badge to be pushed out from inside the bonnet.
failing that (and when you want to remove the boot badge where the inside is not reachable due to double skin) use string underneath and pull it upwards (may help to use two pieces top and bootom half of the badge)
Munky30 you are clearly a bit of an animal, do you live anywhere near Sparkwell Animal Santuary/park??

I took it out with the intention of smoothing the recess and respraying the car... had I been doing it to replace it I would have been a tad more delicate.

I cant get access to the pins from under the bonnet! Had to pry it off! 11 squid for a new one...same with the boot but that one came off easy....the bonnet badge was a b!tch!

ignore the rust (being dealt with soon) but if you look you can see the silver pins poking through the black gromits that hold them in place
