Northern ireland prices

Well its started happening. When people realise that you can have fun in a car in northern ireland the prices suddenly rocket. Grand if you have a good clean car but terrible if you are an enthusiast and cant afford it now saying some boy racer has priced you out of it. Perfect example now was today, was driving along the road and spotted a black E30. Turns out its a 1990 on a G reg. Has turned 140k miles, full service history, diamond black (with no effort put into cleaning it, its still got smears from a half assed wash and not waxed or polished), big key scratch on the drivers wing, has only got one on board computer from what I seen (one beside the radio is just a big clock). Its got a tan coloured cloth interior with massive tears on both the front seats. Only good thing i could see about it was it sits on alpina rims. Anyway this bloke is looking Ԛ£4100!!!! His justification for this price was "prices are rising now" I said I was looking out for one for a mate but was just interested as this is the second one he has had up for sale now in 3 weeks. I think he's bringing them over from england and selling them off here for a tidy Ԛ£500 profit minimum.

It's the same in southern ireland,325 sports are making crazy money now,a lot of them are advertised as being"straight out of gb".you will not get a sport now in southern ire. for less than 6000 euro, and there's still the irish vrt to pay on top of that which is 1650 euro minimum,up to 2400 eu on a mint sport.I saw a re-registered sport advertised in southern section of autotrader last week for 10k eur.I kid you not!

Its madness back there. Ive had people emailing me already asking if I'll bring mine over to sell it!
Im tempted in driving it over there or putting it in the NI trader when Im selling it and I should make a good 500 more than I would over here for it!

Yeah the prices are mad. I saw a 325 sport advertised in autotrader the same week as I ought mine and the guy was advertising the car as Ԛ£7250. Wouldnt have minded seeing it just to see what passes as mint these days lol!!!! Anyway yes there are a lot of mint cars over here and yes they are usually advertised for around the Ԛ£4k mark. Usually 3 in the trader every week.

Yeah he bought that one. I pointed him in the direction of it as I was tempted in going over to buy it but one turned up 3 mile away so bought it instead! :)
He's happy with the car but I think is just highlighting the crazy prices in general back in NI compared to here in England.

Yeah I bought the sport is strabane. Its a clean one alright although just the usual teething problems but I should be getting it resprayed now shortly. Yeah I was just commenting on the ridiculous prices some people are looking for the cars now. Yes it is going the same way as the corolla coupes went a few years ago which means ive now got an investment as well as a dam fine car :D

There is a place outside Cookstown that always has some nice E30's
It's on the Maherafelt side of the town.
