Will be the first year that I miss for quite a few years, seem strange not organising the car and Zone line up !!

If you want to show in the E30/Zone section you will have to join the BMWCC and once a member you can then get a section pass.

Ron Parish is the main man on the day.

HTH !!!

We have to join the BMWCC to show as E30Zone?
Sounds a bit off... that's £45 odd quid isn't it?... :(

it is a BMW car club show though guys

there's always loads of demand for show spaces, so i don't see why they can't ask for it to be members only, it is considered to be one of the advantages of being a member

i think it might be free to get in??????? can't remember, but showing is limited to members (hence paying the yearly membership)

it's not free to get in! usually about £8 in advance and a tenner on the day. It's a good crack as the northern monkeys come down to have it large with the southern massive. Usually it's E30's are the most represented at Gaydon but i doubt it this year.

The car club is run by a fat homo who loves 2p pennyless E30 owners/losers. His words not mine.
I'll be f**ked if i'd pay £45 to join that toffee nosed club, has anyone ever been to a 6 series car club meet? Holy moly

well us northern monkey's have got to bring some class to an otherwise southern hillbilly fest

still not sure weather its i can be arsed to pay the £45 quid in, plus the £50 hotel, plus the £60-70 in petrol as its not a cheap weekend when i could go camplng and do the Pod for less

I think I might be there again this year - but slumming it with the other Z1's in the corner...(hopefully not too near those nasty Z3's though! )

If I have an E30 I might bring that instead though....just for a laugh! (if I do get one, it'll be a proper dog! It'll look GREAT amongst all those shinies! 8) )

Regards,

Bruce.

On our way there last year.....

you won't look out of place with a dog mate I have been for the last 3 years and the standard of e30's has been very poor with literally 3/4 exceptions of course maybe they all had superb mechanicals but going to Gaydon makes you realise just how rare a decent e30 is. (excluding the pampered M3's)

Good call Si, the sharknose meets are great. When James Sohl started them up about three years ago, quite a few of us E30 types supported him. Now his organisation is very slick. They meet around the Southern areas and normally meet - drive - eat/pub - drive and the cars are great.
In fact one of the first meets (Hindhead - Hurtmore) we had around a dozen E30s.
Highly recommended - free and if anyone wants me to find out any dates then let me know !

I too (Gaydon) cannot justify the expense of accommodation/travel/entrance fees. However, If you have never done it then get yer arse down there as it is a good day.

I went on the day and returned(Cumbria) same day last year, enjoyed it and would be willing to pay a tenner to park with E30 zone members if we have an area set aside? is this the case?

Fooked if i am giving BMW Car Club £45 though, the same snobbery existed in Porsche Club GB if you did not have a 911 you did not count, my 944 Turbo S was quicker and handled better than most of their 911's.

Apart from the M models modern day BMW's hold no interst for me as regards being a penniless E30 owner I would like to meet the fat Fooker and put him straight his entire house would probably fit in my garage.

May shoot up there for the day and look around, take a few pics and head home again. 8)

Definately not paying £45 to join the CC just to stick my - not so tidy - E30 remains on the show ground... :x

My poor car will be up together again soon though thanks to a little help from my friends. :drive:

Yeah, I fancy a place like that too... a fookin' big garage, and en-suite living accomodation, or live above the garage... :D Not sure my missus would go for it though... winkeye

I don't think I'm going to be able to attend the meet. Not sure of I'm liking the 'snobbery' factor too.

I wouldn't be too impressed If someone turned-up their nose at mine because I hadn't cleaned a bolt head.
That's just crazy.

Was also told a true story of a mercedes club member (hope your reading this Bill gates  ) He went to an event where certain members had to have their center wheel badges displaying the three pointed star line up corectly with the tyre valve!

Not just that, but the judges were checking for missing labels in the engine bay too.

So is this a meet worth going and looking at then, or is it all suits, champagne, high prices and people looking down their noses at you?
