E30 Zone

Been doing a lot of thinking this week about whether to keep the tech1 or move on

and im pretty sure im gonna sell the tech1

was considering allsorts of engine conversions in the hunt for power but the figures you get for the cost just dnt satisfy my needs

so 87 tech1 sport totaly standard with new rear arches last year lots of history receipts etc
standard interior no rips/tears etc 364 lsd as standard
no engine probs clutch is dead but will sort before sale
will also put new mot so will have 13 months and a cpl tax

whats she worth???

also have a btb snake manifold but will prob sell seperatly unless some one wants to pay extra 500 for it

what ya reckon folks??

car has none of the usual rust issues as have all been sorted

I always associate you with E30's, like the 'origional zoner' (dont ask lol). You appreciate the proper mean/menacing e30 image! Dont move onto modern stuff, however tempting

E30's are dodgy as fook.

Right Daz,i'll tell you what I think,I think if you sell it,maybe not this year,maybe not next,but the time will come when you'll be thinking,sh1t,why the f uck did I sell my tech1 after I spent all that money on it.
You know the car inside out,you know it ain't got rust issues etc,sell it and i'll bet you'll regret it.
Be like if sold my Touring,I KNOW i'd regret it.
There also becoming a bit scarce in decent fettle as i'm sure you know.

i must have had over a 100 + e30s and love em bigtime they are truly under my skin but where does it end?

how do i make an e30 fast as feck?? without 5k to chuck at it i dnt see anyway of doing it

i just seem to be blowing a fortune on juice and still know that the average joe in his warm hatch can spank me off the lights fkin souldestroying lol

i havent made a definate decision either way yet but i am considering all options

E30's are a worthless pile of rust fodder. I'll do you a favour, I have a monkey sitting here for your shitter. I could do with something to 'council-up'. You know it makes sense. At 500 quid, I'm doing you a favour, honest guv!!

Buy the Touring and relocate the sports drive train into it for that added pleasure then, as mentioned sell the rolling shell to Oz.

thought you seemed a little out of sorts lately daz, shame if you sell but i know what you mean about engine conversions. gonna build a 2.8 m20 for mine to get me by whilst i save/find/decide what conversion to do.i need the extra horses cause my diesel bora has @180 bhp on tap and i just cant have that lol.

As long as youre not leaving the E30 fold completely Daz then its more of moving on rather than ending a love affair! Not that I could part with my E30 now unless divorce was on the cards.....saying that no she goes before the car!

Hay Daz, I'm sorry to hear that you gonna let the Tech1 go, that truly is a nice motor....

I'm a mad e30 dude myself and as you properly know I have the Lachs Silver Tech 1 that I cruched at the "Ring" back in March this year (Yes 7 sec)

(She will be on the mend soon) May need a tech1 front bumper if you've go one...

Anyway I know how you feel about making the decision about keeping it or letting it go for somthing more practical and moden.
Trust me I am having the same thoughts at the moment, it maybe time for me to move on also. Misses is happy as she has a 1993 (K) e30 318i Motorsport design edition (Neon Blue) as for me the other half is on my case about spending shed loads on money on my car when we need a new bathroom suite.

(But hay get a touring and do it up like Iain Temples 325 touring), at least this way you keep the e30 blood flowing through your blood and you've also got the sensible head factor going on.

Second thoughts Daz dont let the tech1 go!!! Ive been racking my brain to see if there is actually a better E30 to get and no there isnt (IMO). Ive had a tech2 and yours beats them hands down, a touring is nice but again yours is better.

Only way forward would be M3
