sport just sold

i am so upset today, it cant get worse.
a local guy sold his sport today dirt cheap, hes had the car from new and its got to be one of the best examples. It was a black tech 2 on g plate, all standard. its got full service history and 95% bmw. the body work is not min but no dents or rust ( dnt know about under the kit).

The thing is i have seen this car evryday since i can remember and it is mint. The guy is a family man and loved the car, but saying that he dont know what the car is today. well i think he just thought its lost its value as he sold it to a chav for Ԛ£2200. And this chav lives local too and i know him, sort of. Now its in his hands i see its life ending very soon as nearly every car he has had he has ruined. ( the guy ruined a perfect e34 M5, by putting big ass kit and picnic table on boot).

Cant believ it. i even offered to buy the car last summer from the guy and he said he aint selling.

what a damn shame. cos its worth Ԛ£3k+ anyday. ( well not now as a chav owns it)

I guess its that Pacerpete phrase "profit is more reasonable than justice" Chav money is as good as anyone elses to the seller :o

Go round and offer the chav Ԛ£2400 before he ruins it. He got a profit and will probably laugh all the way to the pub. You could just

Alright, sorry to hear that, happened to me before, buy off him and sell it to an e30 enthusiast where it will belong - on E30 Zone

talking of Mcdonalds he did work there a few years back.

anyway i went round today and offered him 2.5 for it. He werent having it. . he started going on about how it will be his project for the summer, wait for it............... a GORDONS KIT. and full repaint in god knows what colour.

if any of you have not seen it then i suggest you dont. dont get me wrong i wouldnt care less if he were doing it to any other car, thats up to him and individual taste. but this is a sport, and a very nice un molested one at that. ( its even got the original cassette player, the guy never put in cd player).

i even recommended to him to keep it as it is, or maybe a new set of wheels and leave it at that. but he said "This car will be the best around"

ok mate, you do that

The only bonus from this is to any of us who own a sport, one less makes them even harder to find keeping the value up. I know its not great but why do muppets like manage to find the best ones and go for the "covered in super glue and driven through halfords look" ??? :x

Well if it helps ease the pain, I rescued a sport recently from a chav! Luckily he hadn't installed too much bling blong!
I'm currently stripping and replacing all the parts to get it back to original condition.
Perhaps we should start a national society against cruelty to E30's

I had similar problem with mine hadnt been owned by a chav, just a guy who wanted to fill it with sounds! But not that well he cut the mint door cards up to fit tweeters! couldnt believe it took ages to find replacements.

A bit :offtopic: But how the hell do those colour coded clusters work?
Do they work at all?

oi i had a rieger (ok rieger copy but it looks exactly the same :P ) - actually i like those gordons arches because they arent overly in your face, and a good alternative to m3 arches (which id never put on a normal e30)

anyway the gordons kit is a no-no

Yep must be related! Got to replace footwell panels, parcel shelf and he seemed to like cutting shapes in the boot carpet!! His mate was quite funny though..he was very proud of his e36 m3 using his words:

"yeah mate I got a e36 m3, i'm gonna put nos in it innit"!
What in it? "yeah mate in it init!!"
