hey peeps i have an 89 cabby which is currently getting restored but i dont have a clue as to what wheels i want, i was thinking of the alpina, azev as, borbet or the motorsports, only they are getting quite common on the e30s, so was wondering if you guys could give me some ideas and pictures would be great also does anyone have a picture of an e30 with bbs rc wheels on as my husband thinks they will look nice on it. :D

Hartges look gay.

Get some borbet t's or a's on it. 16x7.5 front and 16x9 rear. With stretched tyres.

lol, if i had the money i would have a 5 stud conversion done that way i cud have a better choice of wheels but since its costing £0000s to have her restored the conversion will have to wait till winter.

Have to agree!

I'd look at some nice deep dish jobbies too!!

Having said that, I still like my wheels!! They're well indervijuwel

i like the deep dish but the only thing that bothers me is that we are trying to source a genuine m3 kit so im not to sure deep dish would look rite on an m3 look

Genuine m3 kit? Or a high quality plastic replica?

Either that or a fragged m3 and a good quality welder!!!

Deep dish would look  under flared arches

i dont want fibre glass. so anything other than that is a bonus but would prefer genuine even if i have to buy an m3 shell.

For the money involved, why not go for a m3 cabby?

cos of my husbands job. but we might as well get some use out of our cab for now cos i bought it back in november as a xmas present for my hubby and he drove it once then decided to strip it but we ended up sending it to a friend to have it full restored and since we are spending thousands on it we might as well enjoy it for a bit but we hope to have her back by the end of next month otherwise we wonbt get much summer use out of her. when we move from ni we will end up with an m3 for defo.

Personally, I'd forget the flared arches. Get the arches rolled, stud conversion, go deep dish, simplify and Euro'd. Would look amazing. The e30 cab lines are lovely anyway.

Just bide your time and enjoy the m3 when it finally arrives rather than covetting it and trying to achieve 'a look' come hell or high water.

The right wheels on the right ride height will give you a nice looking car. Plus you cannot see those arches when sat in it!!! (I don't think!)

Oh, you've done it now, should have let everyone assume you were a guy, not long before the first :ttiwwp: smilie pops up referring to seeing a zone lady rather than her car.... 3....... 2....... 1..........

Not many!!!

Hopefully the predators are all drowning in the bottom of some superstrength lager!!

By the time they sober up, these couple of posts will hopefully be a little hidden!!

Anyway, wheels!!

Do you have a short list?

Some nice choices!! There's a great pic of a tourer on Borbet A's in the photo section. I have pics of a red IS somewhere on Borbets, not sure about them on a cabby?

Need to get someone like munky to p'chop them onto a piccy of your car!!

Get a pic posted and challenge the photoshoppers to dress the car with the wheels they think are suitable!

That question is a s broad as it is long!!!

Do you have an idea of what you want??

I bought my car before finding the zone, spent months looking for wheels. Found ones I liked and then subsequently found the zone.

Spend some time on alloy wheel websites until you see something you like!
