Project 318iS -> 2.7i finished!!

As the title says, my conversion is at last finished, with the help from a view people.
Big up to E30Adam for the last 3 1/2 months of hard work and storage

most of the work was done by Adam and was just generally a legend.
Also today, to finish things off and to finally get her rolling, Sal AKA M5Pilot came all the way from London with the required propshaft and general expertise to finish her off, a huge big up to both these lads
All I did was do something when I was told and fund the whole thing
As for the motor, I'm without Power Steering for a few days and the clutch has a low biting point but apart from these minor faults it's a complete beast. It has the standard exhaust on that I got from the donor car and I'm sure the lads will back me up when I say it's one of the best sounding exhausts out there! There's no way I'm upgrading exhausts, just gonna save my pennies for Emerald..
Will get some sounds up later but for now I'm gonna drive, thanks again to Adam and Sal for their help, AndyP for supplying for all important propshaft

and everyone for their support.

Yeah it needs running in for the next thousand or so miles.
Labour costs at my rate of Ԛ£50 per hour, works out that you owe me about a million quid mate
Glad it's all finished now and can't wait for it to be taken for a proper drive.
Thanks for bringing the prop down Sal and thanks to Andy P for supplying it. We'd be waiting a few more weeks if it wasn't for the help of these two because the local scrappy is clean out of E30's!

Nice one
Gotta have respect to Jimbob for going the whole hog and building a 2.7 rather than the "easy" option of dropping a 2.5 in
Well done everyone who helped with all the work!

Just arrived back home!
Thanks for the appreciation. Adam had already done a great job, I only did the last bit. Was a nice day out really.
This 2.7 has some serious grunt and the noise of that exhaust is fantastic!
Must also comment on how tight and straight Jim's car is.
Also had a ride in Adam's car, just as quick as Karan's but with more torque. And again the noise is proper sports car stuff.
Atlast Jimbob's 2.7 is finished!!

You could say that
"Much work" is probably an understatement... that's if you do a proper conversion!

well done the zone crew for helping another zoner out, man i need to start my 2.7 NOW, but ive got so many other things going on at the moment, also short on space but thanks to a few zoners for helping me make space, BIG THANKS goes out to Nelly for helping me knock down the shed and getting rid of it to the skip which means space for one more e30 which i have already got and filled the gap thanks to Jerran.
Jim cant wait to see this beast, bring it down to a meet which will help with the running in miles as well.

Are you going 2.7 on the touring? Or do you mean 2.0->2.5?

2.7 for now, eventually would like to do the 3.2!

Good man!! That's good news.
I'm doing 3.5 on mine, and would like to do S38 M5 eventually I think, I'll see how Karan's goes first.
Might just leave it at 3.5 and turbo it! Or might just leave it and buy something different....

Didn't work for me, til I copied the link info into the browser directly - something messed up with the link formatting methinks!
Can't hear too much detail like you said, but it already sounds about 6000 times better than a 4-pot!
