Just thought I'd post my time warp E30 316i, I rescued the car from Exeter Auction 2 years ago. The car had originally been sold new at Torquay to a retired person.

The car has the original number plates, torch, all tools, mud flaps, power steering, electric windows, service history, brochures, towing hook, Handbook, wheel trims its got the lot, body excellent few stone chips. Drives well.

The second owner had for it 2 years, before it went to the block. It was a sorry sight when I saw in the lot. It had not been cleaned in or out, it sat under a tree dead leaves and green mould in all the nooks and crannies.

Inside, cans, rubbish, ashtray so full it was tumbling out on to the gearbox tunnel and collecting each side of the front seats. The smell was bad.

But after a long weekend of cleaning the car started immerge and is a nearly mint example. Not messed about in any way.

How come it has no visible rust if it's not been far from the sea all it's life?

Some E30s never see the ocean and are infested with tinworm. :(

No plans just keep it as it is, no rust must have sat in a garage and did the shopping once a week.

Think the cameras been kind needs a polish.
