I know where that pic was taken. IIRC it belonged to a member of Cruise South's website. Hence the Streetworx (now defunct) sticker on the screen.

Also IIRC he was filmed on Top Gear years ago when they went to Ace. Had him donutting round the roundabiut with his headrest TVs on. Cant for the life of me remember his name.

EDIT : Just remembered many years ago at Croydon Cruise (Makro jobby) him asking my mate (who used to own a 325 convertible) whether he could borrow his car to do some doughnuts in

Yep got to page 5 and gave up. Its a slammed cab with some wheels, smoked windows, single wiper & sunstrip, not my taste but not really something worth slagging off.

I think the owner overreacted but I wouldnt want to find out my car was posted on another site and had people ripping into it

Got to page 2 i cant read any more! i think they are getting desperate, that car not all bad! not worth ripping in to IMO.

The car wasn't too bad, and I suspect the thread would have died quite quickly if the owner hadn't turned up and spouted off. It was three years ago though...

This never happens. If someone did post a standard RS500 to take the piss out of, they would be rounded on severely.

nahh neither of my cars are barry enough. stock 1991 JCW cooper and a zetec powed ka sleeper. (tho an e30 touring soon)

To sum up (as requested), the E30 was posted, a few BB members went "meh, not very Barry..." then the 'owner' turned up and all hell broke loose. He was clearly upset at having his car posted (despite the fact that it garnered little negative comment really), threatened legal action, spouted some total bollocks and pretty much threw his toys out the pram spectacularly.

He claimed it was a standard Schnitzer too, which didn't help him much.

It's been quite comprehensively Councilled up though. Shame, it was a nice car once.

His name is kevin , He baited them with all the legal crap and it was a long drawn out arguement as on barryboys it always is as they want to argue with everyone , There host apparently is in the states so no use complaining about it
Tbh some of the cars deserve to be on there and the owners deserve the pi$$ take
Kevs was according to bmw uk 1 of 12 AC Schnitzer convertibles that they made in 92/3 that where right hand drive , Nice car as well but it is no longer on the road

council wagon gets posted on barryboys, owner turns up and threatens legal action, long drawn out argument ensues with many insults thrown.... yawn.

Thats what the car was and documented as i believe , I didnt like the mono wipe either but everyone has different opinions of each others cars , Remember this was nearly 3 years ago

I'm a member on barryboys, have been for ages. I dont post much as their skills of abuse are far beyond mine and I would make myself look stupid. But it cracks me up.

They're out to get a reaction (a 'sport' I also partake in) and thats all. Its fun to make people angry and thats what barryboys is all about. Its just a laugh, people take it far too seriously.
