Retro fitting power hood

i hear when you say its hard but what exactly is involved in converting from manual to a power hood? Do you need a whole new frame and hood or can you motorise the current one?

Oh.. I know they are unreliable too...

do not know how hard it would be to fit but i think the hardest bit would be getting hold of the motors, the one that drives the hood on mine is broken and i have had no luck in sourcing a replacement

are we saying that the normally perfectly competant BMW engineering department just screwed-up and designed a totaly shody roof?

no just a weak link or two...remember it is 25 year old design
