I've joined the club again with a 325 touring, however before I start smoking round in it, I need to paint the bonnet as the laquer has pretty much all peeled off.
The colour is lagoon green.
Does anyone know a good bodyshop in Surrey/ SW london which wont charge the earth, as I've only bought it as a run about for a few months whilst I redecorate my house.
Cheers.
Andrew

Probably a lot cheaper and easier to wait for a bonnet that colour to come along.

I agree, but it appears to be a reasonably rare colour...
Anyway, I hate driving cars with odd colour panels...

Paint it matt black while you're waiting for one to come up. That way it looks "racetrack refugee" rather than "scrapyard refugee"

Lagoon green is a bitch to match because it fades under the lacquer. With a bonnet you'll get away with it but it was primarily an E36 colour.

Great.... looks like I'll have to find a good painter then - looks like it'll have to be blended into the top of the wings as well then.

Hmmm, is this the touring that was behind me on Hook Road Saturday afternoon? Bonnet certainly looked a bit suspect in my mirror.

I wouldn't go that far - get a paintshop to do a colour swab with a paint chip. I had some paint done on mine not long back and it was a very good match.
