cab roof fabric

hi to all, aint been on for a bit but just got my 325 cab into my now clean garage ripped off crappy GORDONS bodykit and found 3 inches of water in the footwells so out with seats(v.mouldy) and half out with carpet.i work away all week and dont get alot of time but done well yesterday.anyway iseen some mohair fabric on ebay just wondering if anyone has tried cutting and sewing their own roof

no dont try it, you are very unlikely to succeed unless you are a master tailor, and as you are asking this question i presume you are not.... 350quid will buy you one in the original sonneland material, and if you really want to do somehting adventurous try fitting the roof yourself.... but again good chance to screw this up too.... the jist is buy a roof and pay a pro to fit it or you will spoil the car and loose the money on resale value

I Agree. I would be madness to even try to make your own roof. Have you seen the machines they use to make the roof's up? I'd hate to try on me mums singer!

I fitted my own roof and that was a proper two day cnut of a job...

JR Smith Interiors in Swansea does them for £250 fitted. i know it's a bit of a drive but even with your hotel and the petrol money thrown in it's still a big saving.

Have fitted a roof to my car. It is a PITA. Would never try to attach fabric to the frame.
The £250 option is THE best deal around. His work is highly recommended by a zoner or two, but also by classic car buffs who take their archaic sheds to him

hello again, sorry for the gap but i work away all week and aint got a laptop yet!
thanx for the tips guys, think i was pi**ing into the wind eh!
250 is well cheap will leave it now til car is finished,mot,tax it and drive it to swansea( on a nice day)
