The mechanic called me today, he said there is quite alot of rust on the car were the seals are, but the o/s/r is da only 1 das rust and da rest have been treated, he said its gonna cost more then £500, to repair, any 1 think its worth it on a 316i that cos £520 and has M3 body kit full custom remus exhaust and 93K Genuine miles???

Sell it and buy something else.

Could you post pics of it would like to see M3 kit?

I would get rid. There is a clean 318 in the 4 sale section for £250 with T and T.

hey you lot dont DISS da fella, im his brother (really were twins) basiclly its going to need work, its got all the mtec kit, 15" deep dish rims, the engine seens sound as the mechanic said. could do with a service. its just the rust ahhh i love the car so much i dont want to let it go

It's a 4 door, end of , RIP . But every rusty E30 has a silver lining, if the kit is an original BMW one it is worth dollars and for some strange reason council types love MIMS . The kit and wheels are £500 which in the real world is more than most 4 door turds will ever be worth, get fragging !

I was really looking forward to slating this but TBH it looks pretty decent apart from the rust.

I guess the question is how well do you know the car? If you know there are no other issues then £500 to get the rust sorted may be worth it. If not your probably better fragging it and using the money to buy a non rusty one

£200 is top dollar for an arch repair IMO, but lets face it, you could buy a non rust one to colour for that and swap everything over.
