I agree with 320iSE, looks like Henna red, with that orange tint. I had a 316i 1983 on a Y plate E30 once, and always looked enviously at the Zinnobar Red cars. Best overall though is Brilliant red, and yours looks a stunner!

Thats what I was thinking!!

Forgot to put that I think it looks fantastic and you will enjoy every minute of owning the beast although you will have a few testing times as we all have!!!

Make sure you have a few quid spare to maintain it aswell! Not that everyone is correct but some say you need about 2k per year to maintain depending on how much you use it.

I have always tried preventative maintenance, I find its cheaper and you keep the smile on your face more of the time.

Another piece of advice is to stock pile parts (if they are cheap)cos you never know when you need them. I have new discs/pads all round, new clutch and new plugs/leads.

As said before have you any plans for the car?

It's Brilliant Red. If you study the pics carefully you'll notice that it's just the glare of Bob's excitement shining on the car.

thanks all!
I think the car will stay as is to be honest, all bushes and bearings have been replaced plus all work done as and when needed at any cost!

I have always got the money to put into it and I spent not far off that amount of cash on the is bringing it up to standard. I'm absolutely made up with it!

I can honestly say you wont keep it standard! I said exactly the same about mine. Once you have driven it for a while (maybe a trackday or 2) you will be thinking 'what can I do to make it even better'.

You dont have to go daft but you can modify it and still be subtle!

I added a Miltek pipe, 284/276 Schrick cams + a remap, E36 tensioners (which is a must), 3.64 diff (cos you'll never use the top end), some fast road pads and Bilstein/H+R suspension (best for the car without going daft).

You will still keep the car as it is but just up date it using more modern technology.

(Once youve done all that you will get bored and think about alphaN, carbon airbox and better pistons)

I'm 19 mate, as I recall your around a similar age? I could be mistaken though!

Insurance isnt too bad to be honest not far off the same as it was for a 318is.. I have 1 yrs no claims now so that has helped tremendously!
I found confused.com through up some good quotes, where do you insure yours mate?
