If you're 25 or over try FootmanJames. You'll have to ring them though because the BMW falls into their specialist vehicle category. I'm 27 with 0 NCB and I made a claim last January, I pay £168 a year.

Highway - HIC, but recommended only because they found me a multi-car policy, not
necessarily recommended on price.

i am 22 and im insured with direct line. fully comp, £200 excess, breakdown recover, courtesy car etc etc. at the time i was 21, had 2yrs no claims, and i live in a high risk area and i payed around £550 for the year. which i dont think is too bad considering when i was 18 i had to pay nearly £3000 for insurance on a mk2 crx sir!

you're on the net already so put your details into confused.com or moneysupermarket.com and get them to do the work. Both sites will search over 20 insurers and you can go back and change details like to excess you're prepared to pay to see if it affects the price. Much easier than spending the day on the phone.

Yep, same here. They were not the cheapest quote I had, but they were the only insurers that would cover me TPO on other vehicles when I was 21/22.

confused.com are excellent, but I'm not sure they trawl the classic insurance sector....

This was a good price when I tried them, no Mods or convictions though. But OK for 23+

Try Adrian Flux Insurance. E30's maybe able to be insured under classic car insurance.

For classic insurance a lot of places will only cover you if you are >25 years old AND/OR if you have another car insured as your everyday one. Then you need to limit your miles to under 5k.
But try these (must admit I'm nearly twice your age though! ) Richard Hoskens cant remember the number but it starts 01277 (google it ?)... Classicline, and Carole Nash...
