hi. can anyone tell me what size pistons i will need to gain the low commpression to run a turbo on the m20 engine, can i use the standard crank and do the 318is pistons work.

If you've the later spec engine you've already got an 8.8:1 compression which is plenty low enough for lots of booooost
Welcome to the Zone by the way

Yeah, pretty much all of us do as far as I know. I'm higher than most as mine's the early engine, but it's still only 9.7:1
Soon to be remedied though as I'm gonna ask for 8:1 pistons when I make my evil-twin

Depending how much meat the pistons have on them, can't the original pistons be machined down to lower compression?

They probably can be, but the crowns are a funny shape so it'd be a pain in the bum IMO.

im running standard internals on an early engine its no probs as long as you dont run to much boost

there is a 9 sec m20 e30 running original pistons, about 600 hp
