Is it worth dechroming my cab? I haven't researched the cost but there's only 3 bits of chrome on it, A Pillar/sills on each side and the hood cover, so I dont think it would cost that much?

Get rid of the chrome. It reminds me of cheap Halfarts crap when I see it on cars.

loose the chrome, or you could put some black shoe polish on the chrome bits too see if you like it and then rub it off if you dont 8O

William,

This is a debate I have in my head for years. Chrome is back in if you look at the new BMW's. Its funny how fashions change.

I went a bit mad  and bought the dechromed one as well. Got the wife to get rid of her's (206) and gave her the chrome one!.

Keep it as is.

Cheers Gareth.

maybe im under the wrong impression then, I thought the shadowline trim was a cover up job as opposed to a replacement. How exactly does it fit?

tis a replacement... or u could put black electrical tape over the chrome.... LOL i have seen this done on a 3.5 conversion with m3 arches and 18in Kahn rims....... with an evo rrear spoiler LOL!! One of Jonb's breakers and rightly so!!! sstill went nicely though!

i could do karan, think it would look a bit :puke: when you got up close though and saw multiple lines of tape with chrome poking through, proper chav chariot style.

Does anyone know hard/easy a fit the shadowline trim is?

Its probably quite easy on a cab as you dont have the b@stard bendy rail along the top of the window like on a tin top, the bottom bits "should" be just flick out and replace...

Keep the chrome!!

I think it helps bring a bit of contrast to your paint - looks like Atlantis Blue - same as my '88 318 2-door
