ebay is your best bet, think you can get a new hood for around the £400-500 mark

you can get good ones for less than that on Ebay... but then you have to fit it yourself - not easy.
Do a zone 'search' on say 'new and top' to find the old threads about this...and I think there are quite a few contact details for companys who supply and fit for around 500.
Good luck

......... and welcome to the zone

from where can you get good ones for less? because this seems to be the cheapest i've found.
£395 for a brand new hood.

Would advise fitting a hood yourself. Fitting a hood on a frame to a car is difficult enough without all that hassle of actually fitting the hood to the frame. Should get the whole job done sub 600 quid. Really not worth cutting corners on. I held out and bought a nearly new hood second hand with frame. I still need to take it off and re fit it. I need to find out how to adjust it laterally... ANy takers????
