Hey everybody! I'm Doctor Nick... Err that's a lie. But Hi!

Hey up, I've been browsing for a few days (linked here by Eko) and I posted and thought - ooh, I haven't said hi - how rude.

So "Hi!"

I recently bought a 325i from a friend's dad as I desperately needed a car and it just turned out to be a 325i E30... I had no idea they had such a following ; but then after a few days driving I realise why.

So... I spent last week spending £1k on Ebay out of a rather hefty pay-cheque (8 weeks worth of timesheets = 8 weeks worth of expenses and overtime in 1 lump!) and hve bought the following :

-Grooved discs all round (£200)
-Lowering springs (-40) which I think are the wrong type for the 325i - they're by Jamex and came off a 318 - which after a Google I think the 318 Jamex springs are different for the 325/323 and the 316/318 etc of that year - oh well!
-Alpina blue check seats (Will post pics - they look lush)
-Performance Chip
-K&N 57i (doesn't add much noise, more of an increased howl when belting it - very subtle but definitely noticable - highly recommended) gotta think cold air feed pipe from behind grille and home-made heat shield now methinx
-MTech2 steering wheel (Loads of people on here seem to have MTech1 steering wheels, have I made a booboo here?) Oh this is from Eko and I haven't paid him yet :p So not technically bought yet but will sort this week :p
-Have some gash looking 225tyred alloys to go on (when Mike Stokes in Poole sort me some spigot rings) which I'll put on for grip - then think about upgradin - I like the old skool look of these : http://www.rennsport.co.uk/scripts/prod ... roduct=517 Schmidt TH Line - but dunno about funds for a while... Drool though

WISH I had the money for the custom manifold on the Zone Shop as the graph from the dyno is mental! - Next year maybe

Erm basically - Chuck some ideas at me - I'll try and get some pics of the car, its light blue - and I've not seen anyone with one yet - are they rare? It needs a kit, but I want to keep all the mods in keeping with "Old Skool" as (and I don;t want to offend those who've added modern styling to their car ; whatever floats your boat ; thats the beauty of modding i.m.o - everyone likes different styles) I don't like newer looking mods on an old car.

All agreed tho - "bottletops" have to go?

Basically PM me or post with things I should do - could do - comments on what I've bought and let me know if you're in the South (Central, Dorset type area) it'd be cool to hear from ya :p

 << I love that little pic. Random insertion.

 One for luck.

Welcome!

Another Doooorset member 8)

Kerb the spending, do some research on here before you spend all your giro....

K&N adds noise, not power. Suspension from a 318 will not fit....

Mtech II wheel is cool!

Alpina blue check seats?? will have to wait and see the pics.

ditch the bottletops!

Hi Dr Nick!!

Welcome mate!!!
:TTIWWP:

Sounds like you've been bitten by the bug!

Watch the bracket the K&N is attached to the AFM with. Mine went brittle and broke. K&N wouldn't replace it unless I had a receipt (after 2 years??).

Hope you enjoy it and look forward to seeing the progress!!!

Hello mate + welcome to the Zone, get Tony to host up some pics of the car for you or you can Email to me and i'll do it for you - then we can bombard you with ideas and get you spending £Â£Ã‚£Ã‚£'s, but remember - your E30 should be how YOU want it to be not as others tell you it should be

Oh yeah - don't bin the bottle tops as they come in handy for peeling off on an events day like Santapod in the summer or a drifting day at Bovingdon airfield etc etc.

Hope you enjoy the Zone fella, Neil.

Hehe thanks all :p Will do regards pics, and regards keeping bottletops for track shenanigans.

Edit : Oh and will do regarding the spending too ; I sadly hadn't found this place before I got rather addicted to ebay (short term, 1 week spunk of lots of money :o: ) so spending has stopped now. Promise.

Edit 2 : Yeah, bummer bout the springs - kinda bought em cos they were cheap and thought of resale for profit. Not sure I can be bothered to resell now tho :p

PS - Included in pics will be a gorgeous M3 I saw today in Ringwood. Had never seen one before, strange how I was looking at pics of it online last night (to work out which colour was Macau was) and then I see one in the flesh. Very sexy.

Oh balls - apparently this isn't - I've only been here 5 minutes and already I'm being an idiot (you'll find I do this an alarming amount  ) - Sorry!

Edit - I don't even have to look at the M3 pics via google to remember what an M3 DOES look like, and that deffo aint one. Its nothing like the M3... Bumholes. Nothing like as sexy. I got caught up with the whole ooh that looks nice (and has an M badge) and my excitement got the better of my brain).

Slap me.

:poke: wake up at the back!

I've seen that car parked round the back of the industrial estate near the brewery!

Never thought of buying beer straight from the brewery.... how much do they charge??

So was this in Ringwood or Blandford? Wouldn't know about Badger, but Ringwood's the place to buy your beer Mark - I'll ask my brother how much it was last time I sent him there!

Looks like a nice sport anyway! :D
