8)

Just thought I'd say hello. I picked up a 325i Touring on Sunday which I won on eBay for £376, and Ive already found £1.42 under the drivers seat :D

It's a bit of a shed at the moment, but I'm going to fix it up and hopefully get it looking and going well over the next few months 8)

Already browsed the shop and mentally spent about two grand, lol 8O

There'll be a PikeyM3 along later this evening too, that will be my brother who owns a white M3 :)

Jeff

Where you from?

I'm from Cheltenham :D

This is the photo of it from the eBay ad:

Can anyone tell me what colour that is?

It needs an MoT first of all, and its going to fail on about two dozen things, literally! Then I'm going to fix everything else that doesnt work (front fogs, trip computer, glove box, central locking), fit a stereo cos it doesnt have one, service it (all belts, oil, air filter, spark plugs etc), THEN I can start on modding it a little bit. Im not going OTT - just needs lowering a bit, clear indicators and side repeaters, leather seats and an Mtech steering wheel, electric front windows, decent exhaust system, maybe a cam. Stuff like that :)

Looks like an OK chariot!

Get an LSD on there, cut the springs and have some cheap fun!

Looks like Lachs Silver.......not 100% though.

I dont think it's Lachs silver, its more sort of blue than that, although I might be wrong :)

re: towbar, that was a key feature in my choice of purchase, because my other ride is this S13 200SX drift car:

Image

Which I built from a bog standard shed of a car, bought for £425 8O

At the moment it's road-legal, but in the future I can see it becoming a track-only weapon, hence the need to tow it behind something, and carry a load of tyres and spares in the boot.

I'll get an LSD if I can find one cheap, and I'm going to fit some lowering springs (Eibach?) if the shocks are all good, or a full suspension kit if they're found to be duff.

I was bidding on that and tried to buy it out of ebay when it 1st appeared as you do lol!
Looks like Lachs silver to me and should say on the suspension turrett.
If you need any bits for it give me a shout as i have more 'estates' (i know i know 'tourers' winkeye ) than an undertakers lol :D

Will do.

I also need a headlining, as mine is missing but only from the sunroof back bizarrely!

Car failed MoT on 22 items

Most of which I was expecting, from driving it and from the eBay description, so its actually quite a lot better than I thought it would be! :)

Rear tyres, rear wheel bearings, handbrake, headlights need adjusting, left washer jet, backbox hanger broken and frontpipe gasket leaking. Was expecting all of those.

The ones I wasnt expecting: both brakelights remain on after you release the brake pedal, bizarrely! There's a power steering leak, a steering rack gaitor split, and both front ball joints have excessive play. Front brake lines corroded. And both front ARB drop links are knackered.

Most of those are easy and cheap to fix, shame Ive got a leak and some wiring to deal with as those are the two things I hate more than anything else, lol, but yeah its not too bad :D

That's an M3 colour isnt it? There's an M3 in that colour round my way, I see it every now and again and I'm sure its much darker than mine is. I think it maybe is Lachs Silver after all, seeing it under the lights in the workshop.

could be just the little switch behind the pedal sticking slightly, easy fix if it is!
