These threads are meaningless. There are far too many variables involved in the weird and wonderful world of insurance. The only way is to get stuck into the websites, or to spend half a day on the phone.

Gotta agree with Brian - everyone will get a different best quote from a different company - even if you had same car/age/area/ncb etc.

Only way to do it is get a copy of autotrader and settle down next to the phone for a day. Ring 'em all and you will normally find that one is far cheaper than all the others, for no reason at all!!

Well worth the effort in my experience!!

The problem i have also is that ive got the car from jersey as my parents live there and there are the added benefits of no tax or mot needed!! :D . So it is hard to find an insurance company to cover me to drive the car over here aswell as in jersey. Im on my mums insurance at the minute with CIS and paying about 600 quid.

Does anybody know how much of an arse ache it is to get a car registered on uk plates? and how much it costs?

Or a company that will happily insure me to drive the car in the uk and in jersey.

I know its a lot to ask, hehe.
