boring boring boring
same old thread just keeps coming up
council dont like this dont like that
should mod shouldnt mod.
cant any of you guys just leave it up to the individual to do what
he like,s.
then when posts photo,s of it comment then.
without being totally abusive and rude like some have in the past.
look at the very top of this page.it say,s e30 zone.
thats exactly what it is for everyone. Some zoners get intimidated by some comments
especially newbies.
i reckon some of you get off on an argument on the zone.

Yeah, well said, but its all a bit of fun. No ones having an argument about it.

As was said on the other thread, some of the 'council' mods actually look ok and some dont IMO.

These are pixels on a screen. If they are annoying you, try turning the computer off and remembering there is a real world out there.

If you really want to get annoyed try paying money in at HSBC. One machine for cheques, one for cash. One needs a paying in slip and one doesn't. 'Progress' means you now have to queue twice.

If there's a murder in HSBC shortly and you see a black tourer driving off on the CCTV on Crimewatch then you ain't seen me right?

Actually? Having owned a cavalier(god have mercy on me, it was a long time ago) I just can't see how you would make angel eyes fit what is in effect a rectangular headlamp!

You replace the lights with a twin light unit, not that I know

The best mod Ive seen on a Cav was it fitted with E36 headlights.

First off i have to addmit i didn't know the british slag for counsil. so i looked it up and this is what i came up with.

"1. Council

Derogatory term used to describe people of low social-class. It's very similar to the term Chav. Also used to describe something that looks cheap or tacky.

It's based on the fact that poor people would tend to live in subsidised housing in the UK known as a council estate. Council estates have improved a great deal in the past 10-20 years but some are still suffering from anti-social behavour brought about by Chav and Urban wannabee behaviour by kids and young adults who are simply bored and lacking identity or a sense of community."

Now if this is indeed correct then i find the last line to be very interesting as it pretty much negates a sence of indiviuality, in being Chav or council.

I'm by no means tring to start an argument just a little confused my what you guys mean by council. I think this relates to the US slang of "ricer" or something done in bad taste. or similar to the first line in the definition above.

If this is the case...big multi layered rear wings and gold 20" wheels are total council? :? :?:

This is where you guy's fail to realise that for a true modder, your 16" Alpina wheel, and your Tech 1 kits are the one's that's Council :D When i go in the Zone pics section, i have to hold my hand up and admit that i dont look at any cars that isn't modded. It's no disrespect to the owners, but they just dont interest me. I have to admit i've seen modded cars with Blackpool tower on their boot being used as a boot spoiler and hub cap spinners  , but those people are not real modders, they are just Council Tech 1 and replica Alpina boy's like most of you no taste Chav's on the Zone trying to have a go at modding :D

When you see Bajadaan's M3 cuming, you hear the fcuker, then you see it and you cant fail to be impressed. We also get our coc#s sucked with our so called modded Council chariots, whilst you standard lot have to go home and bash your gurking with your right hand, or cheat with your left hand every now and then, so it's all good winkeye :D
