hi guys,
over here in south africa there are plenti...
example...
1300cc citi golf / golf mk1 with 17inch wheels with a low low profile.
remember, the mentality is.. my motor has enough power to run the wheels...
ever since fast and furious no.1 movie, there are these oaks that put those crap neon lights under their cars. looks really shite.
oh, and lexus tail-lights... thats so honda-vtec like...
look, i dont have anything against a pimped out ride,. its just. do all the little mods in one GO, and make sure they all intergrate correctly and is aesthetically pleasing, and all should have similiar textures..
i like the custom look, but it should look like it could've come from the factory that way.. ;)
one of the worst has to be the "Racing pedals", not just any ones "CARBON FIBRE" ones
u know.. plasticy ones or whatever with paste-on look-alike brushed metal.
or some oak that buys a nice-ish mercedes bendz and paste's the dash full of that plasticy paste-on carbon fibre stuff.
oh wait.. what about, a toyota emblem mounted on the bonnet in the same way as an old mercedes benz's logo.
or wait.. a very very old MK1 golf with LENSO GT-R alloy wheels on it..
asin, the alloy wheels cost about twice what the whole vehicle is worth.

My brother in law got a new AMG Merc coupe as a company car and it was covered in the imitation C/F sh*te stuff, right out of the AMG factory!
Just shows the car don't have to live on a council estate to be "council"!

whats an oak ?
Pretty much everything has already been said, except, seat belt sholder pads. (ultra chav imo)
and, loud as fuck peco exhausts.
Putting stickers on the top of the windscreen, like "CORSA" or "KENWOOD" (even worse if you dont have a kenwood radio fitted)

RH toplines are a replica mercedes AMG wheel for which they came in fitment for E30 bmw's. Why they are so cool is beyond me?
Any BK racing wheels are council as are AZEV A's!

Im begining to think that myself now
Since some chav in an L reg mondeo by me has fitted bright blue angel eyes to his ford lights, I am starting to feel slightly embaresed about my side lights
Ive started to do some smoked lamps without the angel eyes, so keep your eyes on the F/S threads

i agree with the m3 mirrors, they are awful!
thos toplines are soooooo bad!
those swtickers on the front of the doors are quite bad, likes of spax etc especially when stuck on a standard car, look great on an audi quattro rally car or similar but on a citroen ax 5 door???? lol

most of the above qualify. Really its about having no appreciation for what the e 30 was ie an understated classy car. I did think a few years ago that the trend for tasteless e 30's had passed but it seems to be creeping back which is a shame as these old cars are approaching classic status and these horrible examples drag them back into the gutter again. Also e30's are expensive to keep right so why waste money on add ons that are at best pointless and often make the car drive/ handle worse.

looks like most of you have slated about every mod going
would like to see all of you get together and do a virtual perfect e30.
exept what you already drive.
so many different examples on here, and ive got some of mods you lot
hate .
but i realy couldnt give a shit.
i do it for me only.

I am sorry to be a kill joy on this subject, but all the mods people have named are the ones that get cars into magazines and front page features, i understand the majority of people on here like to keep the E30 bog standard, and thats a good thing as you can chat on line with loads more people like yourself, but because someone has a creative mind for there vehicles, does not make it council. If we were all the same on here what a boring place it would be. Name one standard E30 Bmw that has been featured in a magazine. Go Pacerpete i was waiting for you
