WATER IN MY BOOT

openend the boot on my cab today and where the jack is kept it was full of water?????? has anyone had a simillar problem

check the rubber seal round the light cluster.

The water can also be condensation from the inside of the 1/4 panel running down and collecting - spent ages looking for the leak on my Sport, but there wasnt one. The sunroof drain is also a favourite, but that shouldnt be a problem for you 8)

In the bottom of the 'well' is a rubber bung. There should be a hole in the bung to let water out but they block up easy and the water collects.

Poke a small screwdriver through the bung (the thing with the golf tee in it) to open it back up again.

bought my 88 325i three weeks ago.
the boot was getting wet.the cover over the battery.
i replaced the boot seal. problem solved.

never did like golf much anyway.
and i f-ckin hate swimming.

Not anymore - got fired for doing such a crap job.
