Hello all,

just need your opinion on something if you guys don't mind.

below is a link to a page from my new website.

What do you think? What is your immediate impression when you see it?

The site is not fully functional yet so don't bother clicking on anything other than "exhaust, air filters and suspension"

http://82.110.105.30/xsperformance.co.u ... hp?cPath=6

NOw click on Exhaust (not complete) and tell me what you think.

Highly appreciated!

Thanks

Sal

A combination of Ste (Zoner) , Guy called Lee Gilson (www.oscwebdesign.com) and myself.

Is it just cool? I put alot of effort into the BMW> Exhausts section.

has a good upmarket appearance and the blurb in the exhaust section is good & informative without appearing standard sales bullshit & daft claims

Looks very upmarket but for some reason doesn't display properly on my monitor, display is stretched and extends off the screen.

I'm running Windows XP SP2
IE 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr
screen res: 1240 x 768

incase that helps, runs fine on my firefox though! PM me if you need a screen shot!

Only the frame work is done right now and the geenral look of it.

We are trying to do something different from other sites which are just showing you "what's available".

The product listings are going to be very very simple.

The E30zone Shop will eventually be done in the same format with much more information.

Keep the comments coming.

Hi Sal

Great looking site and the navigation / functionality looks like it will be spot-on

One thing for me is offputting- I dont like the black background- although it makes the pics leap out at you the white text ( and with a black background you can only have white ) I find difficult to read - so I don't

Prolly just me though - but my tuppenceworth for your consideration

I have thought about the black ground thing aswell. We just don;t get the same impact with a white background though.

We may tone the black down to a darker grey though because I do get where your coming from.

Cheers

Sal

Yes Bud, a slightly lighter background and slighter dark words would do it for me. It would then be a lot easier on the eyes. Not a dig mate, just an opinion.

The rest of the site looks great, well laid out and professional looking, spot on!

looks good. i like the logos that fade in and out and the way the contact numbers fall onto the page. I WOULD ECHO THE OTHER COMMENTS ABOUT THE INFO DISAPPEARING OF THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE SCREEN. I am using 1024 x 768 and the last 10% is off the right hand side...i always find this very annoying as i have to use the scroll bar to read the end of each sentence !!!

i do a bit of web design myself - not up to your standard but aimed at a different market (namely Doctor's surgeries). www.jcwebcreations.co.uk

cheers

Morning Sal,

Yeah the new site is obviously a lot more advanced and it's looking good so far so keep up the work. Im not sure whether the logistics would work, but it would be cool if you could enter your car spec, i.e e30 325i Sport and then it brings up all the equipment for that car specifically, rather than search for each individual part.

And progressing that even further have an upgrades section whereby you put in e30 325i sport and click on suspension and it gives a list of things that you recommend to upgrade. i.e track springs might be H&R, or bilstein yada yada yada?

Just an idea of what i would like to see and would be helpful to others!
