Bought a 325 Sport today!

I finally got a 325 Sport today. Dolphin grey with full grey leather interior, lowered about 60mm etc.
Its not mint but neither was the Astra when I bought it and it turned out like new.
Im just back after having some fun out the back roads.
The exhaust manifold seems to have a little leak somewhere as I can hear the clicking noise of the air getting out and I stink of fumes now and have a light head! LOL Hopefully a new gasket and set of bolts will sort that.
Heres a pic the seller had up on a site. Its the only one Ive got at the mo. Will get loads up when I give it a good clean and polish.

did you get it out of the auto trader mate, that picture looks familiar but i don't know where from.
the clicking noise could be coming from the injectors as they are rather noisy on the m20 engine.

Yeah it was in auto trader a week ago. Im pretty sure its the manifold as its the exact noise they make when blowing out slightly plus I stink of exhaust fumes now.
Can any one recommend a good set of brake pads that work well with the normal BMW discs? The pads on it need changing asap.

if there are fumes in the engine bay then it could be the manifold, just though i might warn you before you messed on changing the exhaust to find out it was only the normal noise of the injectors. no probs mate, can't wait to see some pics of it, you'll have to get some up regardless of the weather, cleanliness of the car
bet you ras happy as i was when i got mine, but you got to take it out today, i had to wait nearly two and a half weeks before i could.
enjoy it mate, i know you will

Yeah it was great fun and they are a nice car to drive. It seems to be a nightmare on petrol though even though its slightly slower than the Astra but that might be to do with the fact that one of the vacum pipes sounds like its loose somewhere as there is a hissing noise from under the inlet manifold!
There are a few annoying things like this to sort out but I dont mind as long as the engine and diff and box etc are fine which they appear to be.

Nice one mate, enjoy!
With regards to the fuel use, they can be good at conserving fuel, but it's not as much fun then!!

Looks very nice, ticking might be a snapped stud or two on the exhaust manifold as ive got this problem on one of mine left to do, all three of them had this problem to start with lol

Im hoping its just a snapped stud somewhere on the fannymould. The car has its share of little things like this to sort but I like tinkering with cars and the Astra was the same at first.

Im not planning on any mods apart from maybe the Z3 shifter and some uprated shocks and brakes as the ones on the car are getting tired.
The owners manual says 325 Alpina conversion on the front page and theres a small Alpina sticker on the boot where the M usually is. Any ideas what thats about? There was also a receipt for an Alpina exhaust at some stage.

I have been! There are a few powerslide marks and circle marks on the back rounds round here!
Im stinking of fumes though when I drive it. Theres exhaust fumes coming out of the pipe closest to the bulk head. Hopefully its just the studs. I still cant find where the hissing noise is coming from on the inlet though.

We need more pictures!
Looks good on a 60mm drop. I think the back should come up a touch to 40mm IMO, cos i've been in a 60mm front+rear sport and it was all over the place in the wet!

Cheers folks, it will look 100 times better when I give it a good hard polish and wax to take out all the little scratches.
The radio isnt connected as the last owner had a different one in it so Ive just been enjoying the straight 6 sound track so far! Im gonna see what headunits are for sale this week as I intend on putting a decent one in as well although getting the inlet pipe leak and the exhaust manifold sorted and some brake pads are my no1 priority at the mo.
Ive no idea what suspension is in it. I might raise it a tiny bit though as the front wheel caught on the front wing last night and pulled the lip out a few mm and the shocks are a tad soft compared to the koni's I had in the Astra.
