I believe it is unique to a M3... can't be certain of the differences though.

my guess is the difference is at the top of the panel, the M3 uses a different boot lid, so maybe the panel is different there too?

Checked my ETK and it is a different panel on the M3.
It is a weak spot for rust Alex, so get a new one from the dealer.

Its not rust that is the problem, car is from Gibralter (hot and no salt)
but doing a spot of sideways round the wet roundabout has errr... well, modified the rear.
Gutted.
£111. before discount , is that from BMW ?
Regards
Alex.

Depending what part of the panel needs replacing, you may get away with a standard E30 panel, as there are some aftermarket rear panels available for standard E30's.
If it's the lower part of the valence, then it's M3 unique I'm afraid, the exhaust cutout, and tow hitch are different.
If you decide to get an pattern part, don't forget to get a pre-facelift.

going to have to opt for the full panel from BM.
New rear lights from Euro Car parts, and source a 2nd hand rear bumper.
paint myself. bodywork done by the company i used to work for.
still gutted
