Ur lucky my wife tells me to grow up and cracks up on how much i spend on my car.

If it wasn't for the GF I'd have MS, a turbo, a respray and be running on fully synth oilchanges every 3k. I'd also be living in the car and eating half a can of baked beans a week. Sometimes they're right... just don't admit it too often ;)

My wife doesn't bitch about what i spend on the car, and i keep quiet over how much she spends at the hairdressers!

I only give my other half grief for wasting money though indecision, like spending £400+ on getting this 318i through its MOT and giving it a full service, then saying he would take £350 for it!!

He wants to respray it or certainly do the arches, ive said i am happy to spend th money if I can keep it, but no doubt he will sell it for £500 a few months after a £1500 respray!

My girlfriend resents my 335 because I'm spending too much time working on it! (and she wants me to keep the twin turbo RX7 - but it's got to go to pay for the BMW!).

She hates the BMW and says "It can't give you hugs and kisses, like me!".

I said "Yeah, but you haven't got 250bhp darling" and I got thumped!

she used to moan but then she realised i just spent more if she did

she has now got the e30bug and so far this week has bought a new set of ATS cup alloys/car is in garage now having clutch done

she,s also just forked 150 on new speakers for her Is and is planning to spend more all the time

so she cant moan at me anymore ever

shed rather i spent my cash on my car than other 'interests' .she thinks im mad to spend thousands on an old car but doesnt complain

its not just about the money, i get greif for spending to much time working/playing about with my car! instead of spending time with her!

I used to get grief but now whatever I spend on the car she spends on herself.

When I bought my last Sport, she didn't spend 000s like I did, but she got herself a £500 handbag!

When I bought the Cab. I can't remember what she treated herself to but Tesco Visa rang to tell me about an irregular spending pattern on my card and over the phone went through all the shops she'd been to and I had to confirm it was OK.

Stu this cracked me up mate, I think Char aint all there got home last night after getting the scorp and springs and she turned round and said ill treat for the springs I was in shock and said leave off but then she turned round and said i want to buy u something cos i know how happy u r when working on the car and driving it.

urggh i hate girls like this.... hence why my ex is now my ex,, with the occasional EHUM...

30-50£ on a nice together thing like a meal.... thats gonna get shitted out a few hours later....

loads of phone calls,, cos she wants to talk... bollox, its all money...

i solved most of the problem by getting one of my 3 accounts,, withdrawing all the way till limit,,, 1k overdraft... putting it into another acocunt and showing her my balance at the cash point.... sorry love....

to summarise.

money spent on girls = wasted.. they are ungrateful and will forget everyhting uve ever done for them as soon as you slip up the once...

money spent on car = a time of happiness and joy which you can feel, hear, enjoy everytime u sit and/or drive or just admire the car.

the girl can, and will get moody
whereas the car will never cause as much anguish

Found the ideal solution, got rid of her!!

Now I can have a complete broken sport in the kitchen, spread between a set of shelves I put up especially, and the kitchen table.
