just bought 1 of these on a l plate met black with the bbs wheels lloks nice and love it,recently just started to squeak on start up afer having a look round i took the rocker box of and discoved that it is the back 2 cam lobes wich dont seem to be getting oil,it is on 118k but looking at history it has done 50k in 2 years!!!!!so it has been neclted in this time, flushed it and oil changed but no good,please help with any idears as i really like this car,

The oil spray bar can get blocked,worth a try cleaning it out maybe with parafin?

Welcome to the forum.
Car sounds nice, the M40 engined E30's are well known for wearing the cams, top end rebuild is the way to go, though unfortunately, even new parts won't shut it up totally!

new spray bar is only 9 quid from gsf and about the same from bmw iwouldnt bother cleaning it you can never be 100% that it is totally clean

cheers for advice chaps ordered the part today £9.60 so should get it wednesday ill let u now out come took the old 1 off today and is blocked big time cheers again paul

spraybar is blocked up, so oil & filter change and clean spray bar with wd40 and air.

cheers all, done that and not a sound good mood now had first plat today on field long live rear wheel drive!!!!!

Is there a procedure for replaceing the oil spray bar? I imagine it to be straight forward.
