hey everyone, just joined the site after buying my first ever beemer (which had a sticker for this site on the back window)

Its a 1990 4 door 318i, and while its not perfect, its in bloody good condition for its age with only a few wee bits needing doing which are
drivers door lock wont unlock the car,
fan coupling needs replaced,
petrol tank or filler pipe seems to be leaking when filled over half way
diff seals or gasket needs changed.
other than this are there any other common faults that crop up on these cars????

other than that its mint, paintwork is fresh and the interior is pretty much unmarked and its an utter joy to drive. nice n quiet on the road with no rattles/squeaks, no clunks to speak of. and pretty good handling.

its got 167k on the clock and has 140k's worth of bmw service history which prob explains why it seems so good.

and the price i paid for this..............150 smackers....how happy am i!!!!!!!!

gotta admit i love the car already and im seriously thinking bout doing a few bits n bobs.

fantastic site btw, been looking thru the guides/forum topics, really good information on here. :D
