Hi

I went to a Classic car show in Sherborne Castle on Sunday (18TH). Went with a few mates. My mate brought along his work colleague, Ian (from Somerton I think).

He told me his friend had recently bought an M3 in Italy and had converted on for track use. Apparantly he visits the zone as "Ian" was familiar with it too.

Just looking to say hello and hear more about these M3s!!!

So hello!!!

Does anyone know who I am on about???

What about somewhere like Shaftsbury? Central to quite a few peeps, not sure of any good locations/pubs etc round there though.

Was looking at the A361 as I drove this the other day and it has some great twisty bits but it is a bit farther north than I think most want to travel.

Yeah - he was the one who was too scared to go on the track...

Like I said on t'other thread - could move the meet to lunchtime?

Too scared to go on a race track!!! Hahahaha very good!! Replace slow with scraed and that would probably be more accurate!! Plus I hadn't paid any money so wouldn't have been fair!! (enough excuses yet or you want me to go on!!)

After what matey did to his tourer, that was a warning. I don't have the money to fix it if I brake it!!! We do have a second car now, hence planning for an enghine conversion...

I may be tempted next time tho....

Yes the bl00dy football needs watching. Lunch time would be cool. I'd love to be there!!!

The red car in my avatar was the coolest picture I found of an E30 on google and thought that'll do!!

There's various rumours about them not hiring it out anymore, or it being much more expensive... don't know if anyone's actually called to find out for sure though. There was plenty of interest, so if it can happen I'm sure it will! :thumb:

Gimme five minutes, I'll call them. They're on our database here at work.

Right. Haynes MOST DEFINATELY are hiring their circuit. £400 per whole day, up to 7 cars. £50 per extra car thereafter.

Decidel levels at 98dB, all cars tested on the day (allegedly)

Hope that helps

Which is a serious amount more money than it was when we did it last :(

I think 12 of us paid £25 which works out at £300.

The "new" way would work out at £650!!!!!!! 8O

Not being funny but a proper track day is now much better value for money. I would love to blast around haynes' again but not at £50 each effectively!

Damn shame they have put the prices up, last time it cost £250+Vat = £293.75. Got to admit at £25 each it was a cheap day out! but £50 is a little on the steep side.... could go paint-balling instead for that sort of money

Yeah I seemed to recall that you guys got a cheaper deal than £50 a head. If at some point the convenience of it's location is tempteing, I don't mind calling them and bustiong their balls for a better deal. 50 feckin quid!! That's double!!
