I don't know of any straight cut gearkits for E30s, the cheapest way would probably be to use a Ford gearbox with an adapted bellhousing, (Not easy at all.)

There was a company at Autosport that did sequentials for BMWs. Can't remember the name for the life of me, I will have a look through my crap and see if I can find a catalogue if I ever picked one up.

They won't be cheap though. £6k upwards I would expect, along with 1000 mile rebuilds.

Thanks man! You just saved me the load of hassle it would have been for me to keep my word :D

That escort cossie box as you say, just straight cut 1st and 2nd. These things are the full monty, fully sequential 6-speeds. Clutchless up-change rightness!

bona fide straightcut sounds for £0.00 of your hardearned cash :D

Nice Idea, but i'm sure I could spunk £9k elsewhere on the e30 first.

I remember Clarkson doing a review of an old mini fitted with a straightcut box and a 160ish bhp lump

sounded like a touring car on speeeeed
