Who can identify these bits?

Hey people!

I was going thru my tool box and i found a few bits that must have come with the beemer. Two are obviously relays - the yellow has 601.576 on it and the white has a circuit diagram on one side. They might be spares but i was wondering if they should be somewhere!

Not sure about the rest...Any1 shed some light?

B is a locking wheel nut cap

C is likely to be the fuel pump, or even the ABS relay

and D is likely to be the DME relay

not quite sure what A are from

hope this helps. correct me if im wrong anyone

'A' looks like the plastic clips that hold the carpet down in the footwells.

id agree with A being the clips that hold down the mats in the footwells.

Cheers ladz!

The verdict for;

(A) is def for holding the mats down!
B is a locking wheel nut cap
(B) as above is a cap for the locking wheel nut - never noticed them on the other wheels before!! :D
C is likely to be the fuel pump, or even the ABS relay

and D is likely to be the DME relay
This is the only info ive had on the relays, cheers stuart. I'm pretty sure i dont have ABS - What does DME stand for?

DME - Digital Motor Electronics...

its basically the ecu/engine management system that runs your engine. when the ignition is switched on, the relay sends power to the DME to turn it on

likewise, when the ignition is switched on, the other relay sends power to the fuel pump, priming it ready for fuel delivery on engine cranking (starting)

Never seen a yellow relay like D on an E30, plenty on 5 series though.

C is definately 100% your DME relay.

i knew one of them was the DME relay, i just couldnt remember which colour!!

so if white is the DME relay, then the other should be the fuel pump relay. although as Templ8 says, it looks yellow, as opposed to orange
