Looking to get myself a cab. I had a 325 sport two years ago and would like to get back into an E30. I have thought about getting a 318 as the prices seem very cheap compared to an 325 but I dont know if I could cope with the lack of power. I have spotted a 325 cab 92(k) 100,000 miles in black with full leather on the trader but its marked up at £4995 looks very good in the pics but is this just too much money ???

i think it depends on the individual and the car to be honest. If the cars got good history and is in excellent condition then yes it probably would be worth that sort of money. I paid good money for mine which is a very nice example and then had engine failure so its been rebuilt from scratch, so if i was to sell mine id be looking for that sort of money aswell.
Think its just a case of not letting your heart rule ya head and be sensible. Pay the right money if its the right car

Yes I'd take sheldo advise and not let your heart rule your head. You must go and look as you cannot tell by a photo. When we have brought our cars we have always made lists of what we are looking for how much.we are prepared to pay.How many times have you got home and then thought oh I did'nt check this I didn't ask that.It may take time but the right one will come along better not to make an expensive mistake.Good luck

I can vouch for Geoffs honesty and integrity - he describes truthfully and without bullshit.
This car is worth the money asked all day long !!!!!!
He is genuinely selling due to his new business venture.

It certainly is, but im selling it for a new business adventure so hopefully there is someone out there to take advantage, but seeing as there is only 28 mintues left and a bid of just of a grand on ebay im not getting my hopes up!!

Have to cross that one off my list. When I was going to see paleriders cab the other day I got an Insurance quote of £230 on a classic policy but because this one is a 1993 car they wont do it on a classic policy, has to be 15 years old. So the search continues

try norton insurance ...they quoted me £280 for my cab on classic last november and it's an October 1992 car (K)

Thanks for that, just tried them came back at £563, bad postcode area (CF64). I Cant afford to pat that just to use it on the weekends. I think I will just have to get one that is 15 or over

Geoff your car looks in very good nick but I like them standard or with the tech 2 kit. If I can pic one up with the tech 2 kit In the same condition that yours looks in I will be a very happy man

I've had both - the 318 is slower but handles better than the 325. Don't even consider the 320 IMHO as it is the worst of both. Get the best example you can - be patient. Watch Autotrader for well-looked after examples - history history history. Get a manual hood.
just my opinion of course

I bought a 325i quite cheaply but then again its not perfect but has a folder stuffed with history and tonns or bills. It was just what i was after.
all the other cabs i viewed had no history and the owners were asking for too much.
shop about and WAIT for the right one. all i can say
