Ste... looks like he actually had the standard mirrors on at the time of the incident. So the E36 M3 reps would be still available if you want them...

Hmm..
Not good, but it isn't all bad...

Just needs a re-shell! Even the headlights are unbroken!

Anone notice that the nasty door mirrors in the phot-shoot pics are not on the car at the time of the accident?

**Edit** just seen that the mirrors were noticed! Doh!

Yeah, hope he reshells it cos its a brilliant car! Im actually quite suprised that it isn't more damaged than it is! Most cars would be much more of a mess after rolling three and a half times! Good to see the e30 stands up well in a roll! :D

Was supposed to meet Martin last week to buy the parts, but he couldn't fit them all in with his other bits and bobs to bring them to Oulton Park :(
Tomorrow should be a good day for the Cosworth-E30 project  8O

should do, but with the big breaks on its still debatable if the spokes would clear your dads calipers

Thats a bit harsh!

I think Martin realised that both he and Colin (passenger) had both just walked away from quite a serious accident unscathed. The adrenaline was pumping and i think everyone just felt sheer relief that no one had been hurt.

It is a shame becouse it was a great car but... out of shit comes good....

An ex tarmac rally E21 shell has been purchased to shoe horn the S14 turbo lump in!

Martin is planning on coming back to PBMW '07 thrash with more power and traction and put down some faster times.

As for the mirrors.... yes we all thought they were gay to, so after months of piss take he changed his mind and turned up at the thrash with the proper mirrors on.

Doug.

(Tall chap in in right of photo with silly wooly hat on, it was bloody cold!)

Hi, I was told about this thread yesterday so i thought i'd have a look and see for myself. I'm not fussed about the car all that much but i dont like being refered to as a "fucking Numpty dickwad". parksie, i'd prefer if you kept your comments to yourself. You dont know me (thank god) so please dont make assumptions. If anybody wants to know more about the car just pick up this months PBMW mag.

Martin.

I read the article last night, it's always sad to see such a great car written off whatever the circumstances. Glad you're ok though Martin and after seeing the damage to your M3 it makes me feel a bit better about doing 100+ miles every day up and down the A1 - old Bemmers are hard as nails.

Cheers, I was (pleasantly) surprised how well it held up as well. Credit has to be given to the seats for us not being hurt. There was no cage in the car and if it was nt for the seats we'd have rattled around pretty bad in there. Thanks corbeau!!

Martin Hi

Please try to except my sincere appologies regarding my rather craz comment, slightly out out charcter for me,this forums are open to all to write as they feel however we sometimes get it wrong and regret it later.

I for one i'm not proud that i got it wrong this time, but i am amazed you state "i'm not to fussed about the car", i have greatly admired your M3 and all that i ment to put across was that had it been me in that situation i'd have been asking the bunch of dudes with me why they have such smugg grins, i'd be well pissed off.

Truly a sad day

appology accepted parksie. After the accident we realised how bad the car was in the way of body rust and filler!! Both of which i knew little about. With that, the fact we both walked away and the fact i was looking at doing another project it was a blessing in disguise really.

We all still had a really superb day and set some good times (0-60 in 5.1sec and 154MPH) so we were all quite OK about it really. The car did nt really owe me much money and although i put plenty of blood sweat and tears into it I loved every minute of it and cant wait to get my teeth into my next project!! Keep an eye out in PBMW for it!!

Being one of "the dudes", I think we were all grinning because two of our mates had just come out of a spectacular crash with hardly a scratch on them.

Between the chaps in the photo, i think we have had a fair share of bike and car crashes and we all know the score..... there is no point crying about bent metal- it can be fixed. We have smashed, bashed and blown up plenty of nice machinery especially Martin, being a diehard bike racer.

Better to take it on the chin, have a laugh and disapear into yor shed until it comes back looking better than before.....

and you wait til you see martins next creation in action!

Bloody numpty dickwad  fancy crashing the ultimate handling machine

You should have left the stunning M3 mirrors on Martin, you know they double the downforce when fitted, hence why mine are still on!

( Anyone with issues with my M3 mirrors, if you can catch me to make a comment I'll listen winkeye )

When the e21's ready we'll have to go for a proper run out again, I'm sure Ant wil come out for a play too :D and are you still up for making some pipes? my exhaust is in need of some CAD help mate :D

Doug, send me a pm with your number dude, getting real close to needing those det cans matey

Mark.

saw these pics in the mag yesterday and was gutted for you,the car looked really good pre roll and in that colour winkeye (although as you said its amazing what a bit of shiny paint can hide)

glad you got out ok and at least it was on a track where things got crazy and not on public roads where things could have been lots worse

be nice to see some pics of the e21 project, dont see too many of them these days
