Looking to upgrade my new toys handling and i've been told that stripping out its running gear and replacing it with the running gear from an e30 m3 is the way to go.
Is this right?? Will this be better than fitting a H&R cup kit??
Also i wanted to fit a LSD , will any one do or is there a specific one i need, eg from a e30 325 sport?
Sorry but i know next to nothing about engines, my experience extends to topping up the oil!!!
Cheers guys

Sport 3.91 LSD is best
H&R Cup kit is the better option, you can weld the strut arb pickup the m3 has onto your current struts to gain the benefit the m3 stuff has

I went to it and fitted a 4.1 american M3 LSD ans poly arb and rear beam bushes at the same time. My car was totally transformed. The steering is ultra responsive and the car is so much more neutral than before.
A lot of the responsiveness I gained was from the arb bushes and particularly the mounting directly onto the strut. The bigger brakes make for a much more confident drive and make the car faster than adding more bhp, in my oppinion brakes are always a better upgrade than lesser engine mods.
In all, I think you should go for the LSD before the suspension and go for the Bilstein dampers and H&R sport springs later. They lower a little less, have excellent dampers and are stunning to drive with.
I LOVE my M3 stuff but for the outlay perhaps LSD then damper first. The dampers and spring will fit the M3 running gear fine remember so you can upgrade in any order.
Also, I would really try to hunt down a 4.1 LSD. Putting on a 3.91 may drop the car from it's torque peak at useful speed and effectively lengthen every gear you have, which is at odds with the engine's characteristics.
Just my tuppence worth (though if you can make sense of my stoned english I'll be amazed)

Maybee so but that doesn't stop one mine grumbling and whats the betting M3 ones are loads of money...
Actually, thinking about it its a rear one which are the same as all e30's aren't they? The fronts are bigger e28 ones.

... Hang on, come to think some more, I'm swapping to MCoupe rear arm anyway! duh.
