if worst comes to worst and i get hassle from 5-0 il just take one off and put it on my wall and order a yellow one.
who else has them lets see some pics

i got white front and rear cos i thought it would look cool on a black car

yeah well with our crappy plastic ones they crack and just get manky.
they get all condensated and leave dodgy marks over time behind
the plastic

just carry your normal plates with you for when you get pulled, just say youve been to a show and forgot to change them over.
I get a bit of hassle in my dub, bare in mind they are fully illegal now.

I've got german plates on the M3 (yellow rears) and smoked on the touring, they have been on both for a year now, and I've had no problems.

You can buy these at a very discounted price from germanplates.com
Much, much cheaper than Dubmeister.
Just type in germanplates.com/groupbuy.htm
I ordered front and back plates this week with surrounds. I also have a replica stadt and plakette set from Dubmeister for the final finishing touch

Pics up when they arrive.

Got them on mine from germanplates, very good service but with the yellow rear. Not had any problems so far, the old bill around here seem more bothered with plates with dodgy spacings.

Look guys THEY ARE ILLEGAL and you will only get yourself a £30 on the spot fine like i did.
I got mine from germanplates.
Ive been pulled for my plates endless times and now they wont have it. I get pulled over for silly checks now.

Yes they look the part but dont use them on the road. Not worth it imo

mahmood......dont do the stadt and plakette route that is just asking for trouble.
the legal gap between letters is 1.1 cm apparently. and if you havent got a private plate it wont look that good either.

each to their own though

well theres a white golf g60 driving around on german plates but uk registration g60 **. he has white front and rear and never gets any hassle but this is probably due to the fact his plate looks foreign and g60's are left hookers.

looks 10 x better with the german plates as opposed to plain acrylic ones.

Because the digital recognition systems they have in some of the cameras can have a hard time with em? Whatever the reason, it won't be road safety, or driver enjoyment. Just some beaurocrat polishing his ego.
I drove my Fiat Coupe on German plates for long after it was legal when I imported it into the UK. They were BFG (british forces germany) plates which are a separate set of numbers from the German registry. I was immune to cameras, but seriously sweating about getting pulled. In the end I caved in and put it on proper UK plates. I don't mind getting pulled for speeding, but having the car itself illegal in some way is what gets the real attention

I gotta say tho, the plate were spot on. They took a pheasant head on at 75mph and hardly dented!
The same car was stolen in London and when I got it back the bastards had modified the plates with black tape to stop it showing up on plate checks! The only reason I got it back was the tax expired and I got a "tax it or we tow it" letter from the local council! I guess someone wasn't fooled by the tape

Thanks Blue_MK2 for pointing out that they are in fact illegal. There are disclaimers on both sites for this. I am sure we have all purchased these with our eyes wide open

My plan is however to use them as 'show plates' and for them not to keep them on permanently - unless I forget to take them off. As a safety precaution, I will have of course have my regular UK spec. ones in the boot just in case Officer Dibble wants me to remove the plates there and then.
Slightly off topic, but the bigger crime is mispaced number plates. How the f*** do they get away with some of the ones I have seen??? We ae positively tame and law-abiding by comparison for using a German number plate.
