Sorry if this is not the way things are conducted around here, so mods delete/move where necessary

An old friend of mines M3 was stolen last night around the surrey area…

Info cut and pasted from another board…

Image

K's BMW M3 was stolen from Epsom this evening.
Estimated time of the theft was between 11.00 and 12.30 on Wednesday 06 April.
The car was parked in a pub carpark, and was missing when K, Stu and Al left the pub.
As you all know the car is extremely distinctive, and hard to miss if it is still driving around.
In addition, most of the modifications done to the car were customized or extremely rare and traceable.
In addition to the car as a whole: the following parts may appear for sale in the near future:-
22" Chrome wheels in a BMW fitment (exact make to follow, but they are the only set in the country on that fitment.
Customised front and rear bumpers im Kandy Red
Power flow triangular exhaust
All body panels in House of Kolor Kandy White and Kandy Red (non standard BMW colours)
Custom red leather interior including seats, door cards and dash.
If anyone has any information, has seen the car around this time, or since, or seen any of these parts offered for sale on a forum or on ebay, please get in contact as soon as posible.

Personally i think the car looks awful IMO. But someone liked that but they should not have that stolen from them

I cannot believe someone stole that car, it must have been belled up properly which makes me think twice about the alarm i had fiited. it must of had a tracker to. i doubt very much this car is out of the country, probably sitting in a garage somewhere, waiting to be shipped or breaked.

My mates car was stolen and he could not understand how, as it was all belled up, but a neighbour told him they saw a truck lift it at 4:30 in the morning, probably the same way they pinched this one. I would ask around the area for the local car thieves, or check the nearest gipsy site, or see if there were any cameras (CCTV) in the area that might have picked up something.

I'm assuming that the car has been stolen to order abroad.

The whole kit is custom made so holds very little value when not on this car, because the thiefs would be foolish to advertise it.

Also the whole interior is unique, the wheels have been specially made (the offset and pcd)

These parts would stick out like a sore thumb in places they'd need to be advertised to sell...

wasnt this the car that was featured in Performance BMW a while ago? Thats such a shame, cant imagine the pain the owner is going through.

yeah been on the cover of about 5 mags in total i think.

Redline
performance BMW
and a handful of over seas mags...

it's actually his company show car, that he used as a personal day to day car... he is as everyone would expect... tottally gutted

Gutted that its been stolen

But it doesnt matter how rare or customised the parts are, someone has just got themselves an M3 for free to probably sell abroad and then some unsuspecting guy will buy it.

I now this is a different league, but its like the custom exhaust manifolds I had stolen recently - totally useless to anyone unless they happen to have the exact same car, with the same mods and engine conversion. To look at them, there is no way to tell what car they are for, but the thieving c*nts still took them.

I hope the M3 gets found and the gits who took it :shoot1: :chainsaw:

The worst thing now would to find it burnt out, unless you have an agreed price with your insurers I doubt you will get back the money for the modifications. If you find it in bits in someones garage then you might recover some of the parts.

I'm in no way suggesting this, but the cinics would say this looks a bit fishy. Especially when the owner has tried to sell the car several times including being auctioned on ebay and couldn't get the money he wanted :? I've seen this car close up (It was at Max Live 2005) where it won best interior and whilst it's not my cup of cha, a lot of time and effort has been put in it so if it is stolen then my heart goes out to the owner. I just have to watch my back now cause Epsom is where i live too

i'm with jon b and agree with ben, its a bit fishy
a car like that is worthless to steal, parts are to distinctive and some one some where will know about it if the parts are being punted around.

also surly some one would have seen it go, and CCTV??

FACT: money you spend on a modded car especiall to that level you never get back, unless you have agreed value which i recon this did and you car goes missing!!

Anyone know what's happened with the car? It is tragic to hear about it. 8O

probably slowly being dismantled in a small garage behind some quiet flats. i remember the guy saying he wanted 90 000 for it on ebay so its worth paying a few grand to have everything quietly stripped and sent to the crusher. in fact it may well just be in a lock up sitting till the heat is off.

a bicycle will vanish without a trace. a unique show car will not.

I've known K for a long time now and know he wouldn't do anything lke an insurance job on this car! There are so many people saying this about this situation but those of you who actually know K knows this will not be true!

The car was due to have a tracker fitted on it about a week after it was nicked, so no there was no tracker! Who ever stole this car knew exactly what they were doing and when to do it too.

K is absolutley heart broken about this and rumour has it he was offering a full refund to people who bought tickets for the raffle it was due to appear in.

I understand everyones views on it being an insurance job as thats the first thing most people think of, but i assure you thats not the case.
The last time the car was spotted was just outside of guilford about 2 weeks ag, thats the last i heard on the matter.

90 bags for that turd ? ,'K' is one very sick tulip ,mind you the insurance payout should help with the cost of his medication ! :)

k is doing some work for me,
spoke to him many times
his car is actually not insured for full cost of the build and will probably only get back cost of m3.
but as you all know if you dont declare all mods when claiming insurance becomes void.so the poor sod may end up with nowt.
if at all just cost of standard m3.

That's why it's inportant to do an agreed valuse insurance so you know exactly where you stand. I post on LMC as well and K was there saying he can understand why people might thought he'd done an insurance job anyone who thought so could PM him and he would explain why he didnt. I PM'd him and was honest that i and a few others were not calling him a liar, but that the whole thing seems a bit Hmmm. and that if he could tell me why he didn't do an insurance job on the car, i'd be happy to put eveyone else right. He never bothered to reply, so there you go. Make up your own mind, but if the car is genuinly stolen, then like everyone elsem my heart goes out to him cause i know the years of tears and hardwork, not to mention dollars that goes into a project and i wouldn't wish what hapend on my worst enemy :(
