pretty sure engines are exactly the same
but the gearbox and diff ratios are different
this will be why the sport feels quicker if im right

Sports have LSD, close ratio box, black headlining, mtech kit, mtech suspension as standard.

yes. sport gearbox has different 1st, 2nd and 3rd ratios.
although not much different from the normal ratios. its the lower diff ratio that alters the overall gearing. although, the sport box does actually have a long first gear, which isnt offset by the diff ratio, which means its stays in first longer than a normal box. i find it really nice.
i wouldnt say sports feel quicker. they are just the same. its all down the the engine. i have a scrap f reg 4 door turd that ive had for a while(and keeping as a dayley hack) it has a great engine which has been looked after, and will muller any sport that has been in my possesion.

Does the black head lining make it go faster then ?
Only messing - I'm sure the close ratio box will make it pull better, especially in 2nd and 3rd when you will feel it most.
