front pair only, on the back just use standars pads, they only do 20% of the braking !!

thought it was 25%
lol yeah cool...

are the disks on a IS worth upgrading or they good enough considering the engine is standard?

nope, leave disks alone, i have some zimmerman cross drilled wrongness on my car (they came with it) and i will get rid of them pretty soon, as they crack and warp , basically shit imo !!!! grooved ones ar ok, but tend to cause more squeeking with uprated pads at slower speeds.

Don't bother with Green Stuuf, no better than standard IMO, I'll be going Pagid Fast Road pads next time, they have had very good reviews, and much cheaper than the Green Stuff. Just use GSF Discs, they are usually Brembo which for standard Spec is about as good as you can get, on the road there isn't really much advantage to be had over the vented discs.

Pagid all the way!
I run full set of pagid and also the zimmerman cross drilled discs and altho pretty unforgiving cold, they certainly work when hot.
Not had any issues with the discs myself but the combo can be a bit noisey.
Ԛ£200 or so all in from GSF, worth every penny.

I'm going for a Wilwood 4 or 6 pot kit soon with the large discs when monies allow, but for cheap upgarde the pagids will be fine on their own.
