You may think I am sick, but I was involved in putting neon string into the instrument cluster of a bugatti EB220 - It sounds well chav , but kindof looked cool in a 4:30am drunk in front of a crap film kind of way.

bmw have orange/redish dials for a reason, it is the best colour for your eyes when driving in the dark.
If you have bright blue dials, you eyes will have to adjust more from the dark outside to the bright dials and visa versa, meaning that when you look up from having that quick glance at your dials, you will not be able see as far down the road.
So if you driving down a bendy country road a you have blue dials, you may not see that deer quite so quickly as you would have done if you have the redish orange dials.
This is why VW's are slower than bmw's so they can put blue dials in them

LOL Thats what big brakes are for
You can have the biggest brakes you like, but much of the braking distance is thinking time.... the more of that the better.

mine has white faces with blue illumination, great at night and different in a bmw however i'll be going back to standard, nothing beats a back face, white numbering and a red needle!!
