Hopefully not? Anyone with that amount of cash to spend is surely going to be careful to protect their investment.......but you may be right, Simon.

Only a car ! If someone pays up they can do whatever they please with it.

why get shot of an e30 to buy a vr6? :screwy:

Posted: Wed Mar 01, 2006 7:13 pm
by Grantley
It does beg the question and a VR6 is about the only golf worse on petrol than that beemer, but each too his own !

Hes just bought it from Karan, whys he selling so soon ??

Posted: Wed Mar 01, 2006 7:14 pm
by Davenotouring
Exactly!

I thought the sale was due to not being able to run the car and have another expensive car to run? A VR6 won't be any cheaper....

I'm very confused about this........

Perhaps its just too much of a handful !

I fail to see why its such a big deal. Once someone buys something its theirs to do what they want with it.

i've read the thread were he was re-selling, just seems dodgy to sell it so soon after buying. Simon unfortuntely if gets written off by some chav then what can you do, its life. If someone on the zone plucks up the courage to buy it then least it will stand a chance of staying alive! Be a shame if it didn't stay in the zone. By all means VR6's are good cars and quick, but would get eaten alive by the Gug no question so that is a weird choice, bit of a downgrade if you ask me. But its his decision his car, not much else can be done.

The fact is it could be written off regardless of who buys it, you can drive as safe and steady as you like but that dont stop some turd just driving into you. I shoukd know it happened to me !

I totally agree Josh, it's not that I'm annoyed/angry/upset it's just that I'm confused and nosey and am interested as to why a legendary car like this is being sold so soon after purchase, of course, it's none of my business really! Just interested.

No offence intended anywhere along the line!

:D

Crazy to sell so soon! Someone doesnt realise how much of a bargain it is.

i agree with most comments, i just think if it goes to the wrong hands, come the first rainy day it's gonna end up in a ditch. I mean the arse end just goes in 3rd gear when its damp. If your used to a golf or front wheel drive it's going to be a shock for the system because that car can be brutal as we have all seen.

Might end up like Ants old sport gone! no ones seen that since he sold it

What really annoys me the most about the car being on ebay is...........
that you wanted to buy it back if it every got sold in the future, no chance of that if it disappears into the great ebay abyss. Shame, we should all put in Ԛ£10 and have it as a zone car for track days, your ten pounds pays for a day on the track.
If everybody has one day, thats Ԛ£3650 winkeye

 Really don't think were going to be seeing this again, i know it's none of our business but why the hell did he buy the car in the first place. Really hope someone from the zone can get hold of it though.

Never even managed to see it in the flesh either

What is it with your cars have "problems" after you have sold them Karan? First the IS now the GUG. Do you curse them or something! :P

Hope it does go to a good home, its a great car and has had loads of effort put into it.

Don't be put of about ebay though, Wills m50 sounded like it went to a good home.

Why is everyone flaming the guy for selling it when you dont even know his circumstances? I bought a beautiful car last Saturday, then i found an even better one 2 days later and the 1st one had to go as i couldn't afford to keep both, so what does that make me then? Also why is everyone griving for the car, by presuming it will be smashed up and soon die? It could be bought by someone who is already used to 2 or 3 times as much power as the car has and would look after it, so stop acting like little girlies, put those tissues away and go about your daily business you girls :D

I might even buy it just so i can smash it up at one of the Lakeside meets just to see you lot cry you bunch of babies winkeye  :D

Maybe it because he doesn't like the brakes

"Brakes:
Front: EBC 'Turbogroove' discs and greenstuff pads (shite)."

Well the guy did advertise it on here first, just seemed to get a negative response and people having a dig. Can't say I blame him for advertising/selling elsewhere.

Seems to be a Zone special that doesn't it? Anyone puts something up for sale and the lynch mob comes out with their knife and forks ready to feast :D

Bottom is Karan got his asking price for the car and i know it's gutting when you put a lot of effort into a car and then have to watch it go, but this guy could have lost his job or somthing equally tragic and that's why he's selling up.

Ho fcuk it. I'm going to ring my bank to see if they will lend me the money, then i'm going to buy this car and drive it straight into a wall, Pictures to follow soon  winkeye

Great idea!!! Having looked at the car on ebay, most charvers will just look at the picture and see a "sleeper". No 18" chrome alloys, wings west body kit, neon christmas lights and jap spoiler (v descriptive) and will not consider parting with the cash (if they indeed have it!!).

While I don't know huge amounts about the car, never seen it in the flesh, I am well aware of it and appreciate the work done on it. If I too had the money, I would be making the purchase!!

the funny thing is his spec is waaaay out of date of what is on the car and its some serious misadvertising...

i actually sold the car for less than my asking price cos i had another car i wanted to buy waiting and neded cash asap.... which is why this is annoying!

Posted: Thu Mar 02, 2006 1:56 pm

The only spec different to what you posted in your original for sale thread Karan is the brakes, everything else appears to be copied and pasted!
