I want to tidy up a bit of rust on my 320i rear valance before I sell it.

Anyone know where I can get aluminium oxide from for shot blasting? I have the necessary attachment for my air-compressor, but nothing to blast with.

You could just use the right grade of sand mate, just as effective, no idea what sort of sand it is thoug I gust get it off a bloke! I think it's sharp sand.

Yeah, sharp sand is the stuff. It's just a question of it being dry. Also worried about it being too dusty, as the neighbours will find a layer of dust on their cars

Don't use builders sand, you risk getting silicosis.

I got my blast media from
www.acegrit.co.uk

But you may want to try finding someone close to where you live, as transport is expensive....

Make sure you wear lots of protection, I had a hood, face shield and safety glasses, and the odd bit still found its way in to my eyes!

TBH you should really use a low pressure air feed spraying mask, but who ever bothers doing that.
