E30 Zone

Hi all

Need a little advice. I am going to look at a M3 on Saturday, are there any things I need to look for, over and above the normal things to check that is.

Its 1989 on a G on Pistonheads up for Ԛ£10500

Any information appreciated.

Apart from the usuall bodywork stuff, have a good look/listen to the engine/gearbox & running gear, as this will cost a packet if something goes wrong...

i would just ask the usual Q's, history, service, accidents, rust, start her up ask a mate to watch the exhaust (black smoke etc). I think those engines had a loud tapping noise (bit i hear this can be fixed quickly).
Sorry if this is not what u need, i dont have an M3 but i am sure the M3 guys will be along to help

If this is the one, it looks well nice. New BMW fitted engine 20k ago, very clean and new suspension too...

At Ԛ£10.5k it's a bit highly priced, but if it's as nice as the advert suggests, then it should be worth it.

Yup thatÔš's the one, I have given myself a budget of 10k to buy one and I am very fussy so donÔš't mind paying a little over the odds for a good oneԚ…

It does look good, but keep the info coming more the betterԚ…

The car is in dry storage and the chap that runs it is away for the weekendԚ…

Thats not very good as the weekend is when i would imagine all the stored cars get taken out under the sky.

Its a shame, I was quite looking forward to go check her out.. does anybody else have a M3 in the Norfolk/Suffolk area I can have a look at?? mainly just to get a feel for one..

My car is going on Saturday morning, so will have cash burning a hole in me pocket...

Hi , I have an M3 and am in Kings Lynn Norfolk , I'm away untill Tues but your welcome to come up for the day when your free and I'll talk M3's all day long .

I'm sure we can find a private road you can use to get used to it , its not for sale tho .

This is my 5th since 1990 so know my way round them.

I work shifts so if you do call and I dont answer I'll get back to you .
