(to be said in the voice of Tony Green)

My 316i passed 180,000 last night :D

Out of interest, how many people here have E30s with milages over 200?

I know Rog has done over 200 in his touring, but there's nobody else who seems to flaunt their high milages, which seems odd as there should be more than one or two on here...

Karan... you're putting a 200k M5 unit in the project...? Are you testing the engine before hand...? Re-building the head at all? I just find it hard to believe that you'd put such a high mileage engine into a project that you're spending some much effort doing...

Please... put my mind at rest dude.

i think the engine has had work done but no history

this engine really does run really really well, as i obvously made sure before buying it

jon informed me that the owner he got it from had shelled out on engine work but was unsure on exactly what.... but it was pricey so i suspect headwork occured.

engine and box are sound though, engine mnakes no smoke at all, and as wil6pot will tell you it pulls very very hard, as hes the only one who has been in it!!!!!!!!!!
sideways at 90mph  ///M power

My 325i had just over 200k on the clock.

Unfortunately, the engine died of big end failure shortly after. That and the gearbox is shot :(
