chrome or black, coloured is chav and looks cheap and 80s custom style ie fur on the dash and jack the back wheels up

eye brows on a light coloured car with a chrome or black grill looks odd, colour code is the way to go.

have a look in the gallery or members e30's for them

My car is Vulcan grey and when it's reprayed the bumpers etc are going to be colour coded but the centre grille will remain chrome. It's a BMW statement thing.
Was considering having colour coded trim instead of dechrome.
Yes/No?

I've just sprayed 4 headlamp rims satin black because I thought it would look odd with grey/chrome showing, even though they don't show that much.

it has to be black, looks much better. especially when you have dechrome guttering and nothing else on the car is chrome! it looks more in place black than it does chrome imho

chrome, has to be the trademark chrome, its the distintive look you get from an E30 front end, in black just blends in with the grill, which is the whole idea but I'm not fond of that look. Call me old fashioned I guess.

Yes, body-coloured is gay.

I'm undecided on black v. chrome.

Black looks good on a non-standard car but as Gouki says it's like you're trying to hide the fact it's a BMW.

I think I would have a black grille on at least one of the cars if I weren't so lazy though.

i think body coloured looks ok actually, but probably not on a standard mtech2 car (mine wasn't standard tho). i think black looks a bit odd cos it's like nothings there, just looks a bit strange...

on grey cars, body coloured i think looks ok.
