Wheels....Help!

Hi guys.
I've just bought a relatively cheap set of BBS Mahle alloys for my E30.
They aren't a direct fit so I need to run some 15mm hub adaptors.
This will take me to an offset of ET8 and the wheels are 15x7.
I'm thinking going to a 195/55/15 or even a 195/50/15 as there seems to be a lot more choice.
Am I likely to have fitment issues?
Planning to lower slightly on a B12 kit too.
